As the owner/ manager I take any complaints serious .if review are left I ask what the problems are I can not cure with out knowing the problem. Over the weekend a person has viewed a one star, questioning all my staff have not seen this person. I have remained calm and open minded. His response has always been rude, unhelpful and very upsetting swearing, threatening black mail, when all I have done is request info so this can be nipped in the bud. Read all the comments and please judge for yourself 😊I take any complain seriously

What a fabulous place. I loved the quirkieness of all the mismatched furnishings and decorative accessories, crockery and fabulous glassware. We had a lovely meal and the staff could not have been more attentive. Would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again.

Went to The Vines last night for a birthday meal with the girls! Lovely place with friendly, helpful but unobtrusive staff. Loved the tapas style starter, really enjoyed the Thai prawn curry and the mulled wine trifle was divine! But the best part had to be the cocktails! I think I have a new favourite, the porn star martini!! Thank you to Gavin and Sharon for your hospitality! I really hope this new venture does well!!

We had a lovely afternoon on Thursday 28th December. The four of us shared a super tapas, the clams and prawns were especially scrumptious, as were the polenta and house breads. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasty. The pink gin and slingsby gin with rhubarb and raspberry were delicious. The boys enjoyed their beer with a recommendation for the American Beer! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be returning. Thank you The Vines.

Third time I've visited today. Have been a normal week night, buffet and now carvery. Cannot fault anything. Service is friendly but definitely not full on. Cannot fault the food in anyway, except I should of brought some home for later (now) �. Lovely, friendly & absolutely worth every penny. See you again soon x

Popped in here last night for a couple of drinks with friends. The Strawberry daquiris are beautiful. The decor and service was great. Our husbands were drinking pints and my friend and I were drinking cocktails. We waited awhile for the cocktails (which wasn't a problem to us) but the manager obviously felt this wasn't good enough and gave us a refund on the 2 pints. Customer service at its best. Will definitely return and highly recommended any one.

My first time at the vines this evening! Such a cosy, welcoming place! The buffet was really good with a nice selection of foods! I had the orange and polenta cake for pudding and it was amazing! Fab selection of gin! Definitely need to go back to try a couple that caught my eye! I wanted to take the glass home! Xx

Just come home from the all you can eat pie and burger night. Please come and try the delicious homemade pies. If I could rate this higher i would of done. Well done Calum we loved them. The jam roly poly was so yummy too. Great service and welcomed with a smile x

I had the great good fortune to attend their opening night on 27th October. The place was packed out but the phenomenal food kept coming and the staff were totally on the ball. Definitely planning to come back again and again!

I booked a table for 8.30 on Friday evening. We were welcomed as we entered by very smiley and friendly staff.

My friend and I ordered a cocktail which was presented in beautiful glassware and tasted perfect served with fresh passion fruit.

The menu was explained to us which I thought exceeded customer expectation.

We had pinchos which tasted amazing all the flavours really complimented each other. We then chose to share the chicken paella which was beautiful just the right consistency and very generous in portion. Washed down nicely with a very reasonably priced New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and served in really trendy black glasses.

The staff were attentive throughout and very eager to please.

I shall definately recommend and will definately return.

Had our Sunday lunch here today and it was lovely very large portions with the offer to go back for more !!! a nice quite place to eat very reasonably priced great value for money and lovely staff nothing was to much trouble thank you we will be back

A big table of us have been in this evening for our mother’s birthday, the cocktails food and service where excellent, would recommend the chicken and chorizo paella. Customer service was spot on all staff very attentive! Great feel to the place, if you’re looking for somewhere with a chilled vibe this is the place.

What a refreshing change ! we went for the Round the World all you can eat buffet and I was pleasantly surprised. very good customer service..prompt and friendly..nice atmosphere..great ales and the food was varied and good quality ...the chef explained the various meals available very well..absolutely no complaints whatsoever and will be going back for more !!

Food is great, the layout is good only thing that stops this from being a 5 star is there are no prices on the food and they are lacking a lunch menu. Other than that lovely little place. �

Really bad service for a Sunday carvery. Had to wait far too long considering only 3 or 4 tables occupied. No stuffing or mash potato. Had to wait longer for Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Found hair in the veg and not even an apology. No where near worth the near £11 price. Kids charged at full price. We wont be going back, real shame.

We booked a carvery for 7 of us at 4pm, I understand there was a mistake made with the booking and the timing was written down incorrectly however we were very disappointed with the food or lack of it, not one of us managed to get a full dinner as there was 2-3 roast potatoes left, not enough stuffing for everyone, cauliflower cheese ran out and we had to wait for Yorkies, the meat also was dry and appeared to have been sat for too long. The waitresses didn't really seem to have much of a clue and we had to wait on gravy while rhe food got cold, but I understand it's new so things do take time, however the big positive in all of this was when asked if everything was ok we explained it wasn't and the waitress took our comments back to the bar and money was knocked off as well as the male who appeared to be In charge gave an apology. We happily paid the new bill and left a tip.
