How I can help you

Having counselling can be a unique opportunity for you to talk freely about what is really troubling you. You don't need to worry about holding back on what you want to say, or worry about what I might think. I will treat you with respect and not judge or criticize you. You will have my undivided attention and I will maintain confidentiality when you disclose information to me.

What to expect

I offer the first session free to give you the chance to decide if online counselling is right for you.

If done 'face to face' via video link, or in real time the sessions will last 50 minutes. If you'd prefer to send me an email summarising what you'd like to discuss I usually allow up to 1 week to respond. This exchange of emails is regarded as a session and my response will usually be an A4 sheet of script. Having the emails to refer back to can be very helpful, but I'm easy to work whichever way you'd like.

About me

I am an experienced counsellor who has worked in a variety of settings with individuals, children, families and couples since 2001. I worked for Cruse bereavement care for 6 years and I have worked both in private practice and at a college for further education. I am an Accredited Counsellor with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and have completed training in online counselling. I am a nurse by background and a rehabilitation case manager for clients who have sustained catastrophic injuries and are coming to terms with their significant and multiple losses. I have monthly supervision sessions and abide by the BACP code of ethics. I am an Advanced Member of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers.
