Andrew learnt the fundamentals of traditional stained glass on a one-day class with us and is creating his new window on our Project Day programme.

Now on display at the gallery after its first outing to Castle Ashby at the weekend - Jenny's new wood and fused glass piece, Cherry Fizz. Nice and tall so you'll see it properly in your Capability-Brown-style landscaping......

Coming up on Sunday 2nd June - Printing Without a Press - Clare Tebboth's fun and highly productive entry in to the world of printmaking, exploring techniques you can try at home afterwards.
Monoprinting from Perspex, gelli-plate, polystyrene plate and the always-popular linocut – you’ll get to test them all out!
You'll create a body of work you'll love by the end of the day - even if you don't consider yourself very arty!
... Printing is really in vogue at the moment and this is the last of these classes for 2019 so why not bag one of the two spaces left? Hit the link for more info and to book!

Some fabulous new pierced ceramic bowls by Adam Hoyle, and this gorgeous raku-fired Coral Lamp, with soothing colour and light changing LEDs hidden inside. Just a delight to sit and watch!
It's like a more arty lava lamp for the hand-made generation! Visit the gallery and mellow out, baby!

Very happy to say all of Julie Edmunds mosaics are up and looking fab. The exhibition opens tomorrow and runs until 2nd June. Julie will be demonstrating and chatting from about 2pm on Wednesday 22nd, and you're all invited to join us for drinks from 6pm on Wednesday.

Since we added this design to our stained glass traditional leading class at least one student in each session has made it. I wonder what today’s group will choose, and which colours?

Phew - quite a lot going on at the moment - lamp workshop on the next two Fridays, Jenny at the Storehouse gallery today, Mike at the studio, stained glass class tomorrow and super-secret glass fusing student project on Sunday (shhhh...it's a present...), then the wonderful Julie Edmunds Exhibition of New Mosaic Art gets in on Monday, opens Tuesday.
You're all invited to the show, and the open evening and demo afternoon on Wednesday 22nd May.

It's Crafty Thursday - good morning!
Some craft classes coming up for you:
26th May - Kiln Carving Fused Glass... Learn how to add deep 'bas-relief' to fused glass work - add texture, create subtle shadow effects and more. Suitable for beginners and especially of interest to those who've done some basic fusing and want to progress.
2nd June - Printing Without a Press Try Monotype from Perspex or glass, Gelli Plate, Polystyrene Prints and Lincocut - all in one day! No press required so you can carry on developing at home after the class!
29th June - Glass Fusing with Inclusions A great beginner's introduction to the joys of glass fusing, using frits, powders, noodles, metals, bubble powders, enamels and more!
30th June - Stained Glass Traditional Leading Make your own garden panel in just a day on this class in the 1000-year-old craft that is leaded glass.
