Volunteering Journeys provides enriching, community driven, and authentic volunteer experiences in culturally rich and exotic countries. India is our home base and we also promote our partner projects in Peru, South Africa, Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
We immerse you in local living with communities from whom you can learn and also give back to. Our programs are designed so you develop your skills, build relationships, and make new friends, and can contribute to gratifying community and conservation projects led and supported by our local teams.
From childcare, teaching English, women’s empowerment, medical and healthcare to animal conservation you can be assured that our programs will fulfil you and broaden your horizons in many ways. Whether you are a gap year or high school student, at university looking for an internship, a career breaker, or a group of friends, our ethical and responsible programs can be customised and tailored to your needs.
We value personal growth, deep connections with locals, and real life learning that comes through international volunteer and internships. Our mission is to work with local communities to help them achieve their goals and to empower you, our volunteers, with sustainable and responsible volunteer experiences.

It’s turtle nesting season in Sri Lanka! Turtle eggs are a huge commodity in Lanka and so our volunteers safely rebury the eggs in a hatchery once the mothers lay the eggs on the beach. The life of a stray dog is far from easy in South Asia. The vast majority of the public’s awareness of dogs (and animals in general) is still very limited. Stray dogs suffer from hunger and untreated diseases and often they are shot, beaten to death or gassed.Most dogs live on the streets, and many are in an appalling state.
