Volunteers Network Cic

About Volunteers Network Cic

Our aim is to promote volunteering and encourage people to get involved with their community, reducing social isolation, addressing disadvantage, improving community cohesion and connecting people throughout East Sussex.

Volunteers Network Cic Description

Volunteering is a great way to help others and improve your community, but it is much more than that too.

Want to feel valued and part of a team?
Want to gain confidence and learn new skills?
Want to gain experience and improve your chances of getting a job?
Make friends, have fun and VOLUNTEER!

We want to encourage more people to take an active role in community life, recognise the work of volunteers in Eastbourne and ensure volunteers feel valued.

We are going to collect information about every club, group and organisation using volunteers in Eastbourne. We will create a website that makes it easy to find out what is happening in your area and find opportunities to socialise or volunteer.

We will let you know as soon as the website is up and running, in the meanwhile we are looking for three ward coordinators in every ward of Eastbourne who will catalogue the clubs, groups and organisations in their ward.
We will offer lots of training and regular opportunities to meet and network. It's going to be fun and very rewarding!
We are working in partnership with several other organisations including 'The Best of Eastbourne, ' who will give ward coordinators a profile on their page and a chance to blog about the great stuff happening locally.
If you want to get involved please email eastbournevolunteers@gmail.com

It was lovely to meet the judge from the Sussex Life awards at our offices today. Even if we don’t win, hearing what the project means to our volunteers was something that will stay with me forever. ❤️ https://www.facebook.com/sussexlife/video s/868782856653239/

We need your old t-shirts! Have you got any unwanted t-shirts we could have? We need them ASAP to turn them into superhero capes at a craft workshop. Any colour or design is fine. Please comment if you can help us and we’ll get in touch!

Come and meet other social entrepreneurs, volunteers and organisers from community clubs, groups and charities in Eastbourne & the surrounding areas. This is an informal monthly meeting on the last Tuesday of every month so we can all connect, learn from each other, support each other and share resources. We are meeting at our hub which is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible toilet.
