To celebrate Booker T. Jones coming to the NE this week, on Friday at Voodoo we present a full night of Stax Records. During the 60's and 70's the Memphis based label was home to Booker T and the MG's, Isaac Hayes, The Staple Singers, Johnnie Taylor, Rufus Thomas and William Bell amongst many others. What's not to like, especially over a bank holiday weekend, superb DJs, dancing, great food, unbelievable cocktails but best of all fantastic staff and a very warm welcome, once you've been you'll keep coming back. ...

Well the ladies and I have now adopted voodoo as our drinking hole of choice....no where else compares with the drinks choice or the great staff and music .....love it...xxx

We went to voodoo cafe last night for dinner and the staff were absolutely lovely! One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had! Lovely team.

The atmosphere and decor was perfect for the theme and atmosphere and the music, the Staff were lovely and friendly and seemed to enjoy working there, it was great to see Les and Kendra the owners working and being part of the team, it was busy and fun and the food was outstanding, the Staff kept our drinks flowing and checked in with us without being too much in our faces, my first time here and I will certainly look forward to going again! Thank you to everyone who works there

Our favourite place to eat while in Darlington, simply the best chilli anywhere..

My first night out in 3 years. I love seeing some of the same faces I used to see nightly and some fresh faces too.



...the cocktails went down a treat and now I'm carressing a coffee. Excellent night. ^_^

Great place,the best coffee north east..Ive yet to taste better..Two lovely people who own the place..Lovely staff...With yummy food..Then you have, there entertainment.Something on most evenings...If you like good alcohol your in for a treat as they have so many quailty choices..They work hard to be diffrent and they offer something diffrent from the Norm.Im baised as i know them..

Great place to eat, if you like Mexican food get yourself there. Service was top notch, great menu with plenty to choice. Sat 5-6pm 2 course for 12.95 definetly worth every penny. Highly recommend, a place we will go back to.

Great place for a celebratory meal. Food was fantastic, 2 courses for £12.95 and lovely desserts. Staff are friendly and helpful. Amazing selection of spirits and cocktails.

Great food , great atmosphere, amazing cocktails. Wish I come in before. This place is a pure gem. Slowest I’ve ever eaten a meal, had to savour the flavour. Absolute delight. Thanks guys. We will be back �����

Food is delicious, very accommodating staff when our party got confused with the menus......a learning curve for all. Will definitely be returning 😋 If you like spicey then you’ll love this place ❤️

Fantastic meal on Saturday night, particularly for a friend with coeliac disease who is also allergic to dairy. Staff couldn't have done more to accommodate and reassure and we now have a 'safe' place to eat when she's visiting - not an easy thing to find. Thank you.

Been lots of different times and the 2 constants are lovely grub and the best cocktails in Darlington.

Amazing cocktails ( the aviation uses violet liquor, never heard of such a thing but amazing), and the bar staff amazing, i watched others cocktails being made and it was like a free show, totally enthralled.

After meaning to try this place for many many years we finally did last night and had a lovely meal. The jalapeno jelly dressing on the salad was delicious, and I didn't want my beef Chimichanga to end! I enjoyed a nice pint of hand pulled ale too. The restaurant itself is quite "basic", no airs and graces, but I like that... Service and food both very good. We'll be back :)
