Went to Vortex with my family for my son's 13th birthday. The whole experience was fantastic. The VR omni was amazing, easily the best gaming experience I have ever had. The staff are really friendly and I especially want to thank Hannah who helped us to sort out our gaming cards. We will definitely be going back.

We took kids here for a school inset day. Was there for opening so nice and quiet and staff were great. No more expensive than any other arcade, you just need to pay up front on a card. We put £40 (between us all) on a card which gave you extra credit. Kids love having the tap and play card. Kids loved the VR set up, upstairs, really tired them out. The family VR simulators great fun especially the pirate ship ( make sure you don’t eat lunch before hand). I can imagine if it was at peak time you would have to wait some time for VR stuff so go early.

We had an awesome time here today! Took advantage of the early bird offer so lots was free 10-12 & Joined the mailing list so got £5 free credit! Kids had a great time, machines all worked & service was fantastic. Can't comment on on the food or drinks as we used one of he restaurants. Had expected to be in resorts world for an hour or so but stayed all all day! Cannot wait to come to vortex again!

We go here as a treat and it’s great fun highly recommended to keep those bored kids entertained! �

Visited for the first time to celebrate our sons 13th birthday. All 10 children had a fabulous time. Party package was excellent value for money. All staff were helpful, friendly and very approachable. Cannot wait to come again.

Thank you to our awesome party host Chad for an amazing party for my little boy Josh. The children all had an amazing time and we were delighted with the experience, value for money and quality of the food. Our only slight criticism was the amount of parties taking place which meant our room wasn’t ready at the party start time, which meant parents were unable to drop their children off at a designated spot, and we then had to wait another 20 mins for the cards / intro etc - which is a long time with 20 very excitable little boys! Similarly at the end of the party we had to rush to vacate the room. The staff are working flat out to get everything ready, but maybe a bigger gap between parties might make this a better experience.

Staff are really helpful and overall the experience was wonderful, recommend the omni gaming machines upstairs for anyone who is a true gamer :) for kids, they have the pixel arcade downstairs

Simply fantastic, felt like a child again playing retro games and news games alike. Love the payment system with the contact-less cards, they are very easy to top up and you can even store your tickets onto your card as well. I will defiantly be coming back very soon.

Really impressed with this place. My son had his 8th birthday party here and we were really well looked after by all of the staff who went out of their way help make it a great experience for the children and parents! Reese was a fantastic party host who went above and beyond meaning I could relax and leave everything in his capable hands. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good quality food and good value for money. Lots of fun was had by all. Would highly recommend. Thank you �

My son and his mate had a joint 6th birthday party today! It was awesome and the hosts were fabulous. They took care of everything, we even ordered our cakes from them (they were delicious!) it was a hassle free party for is and the kids loved every minute! (And they were a very noisy bunch!)

Good fun, went with my 8 year old and 2 year old son. Cost is average for this type of venue, expect to spend £40-50.



You get bonus credit deal's. Largely depends on how good you are at games and what games you play, ie arcade or ticket challenge machines.



Staff friendly with great atmosphere. My only criticism is I'd like to see more arcade machines.

Booked a kids birthday party which was excellent. Everyone including the parents enjoyed and our hosts Ted and Sean were fab. Really well laid out and the VR rollercoaster was a big hit. Going back again next week.

A brilliant birthday party today for 2 seven-year-olds! Thanks so much to Kenza and Daniel for being the perfect hosts and looking after us all so well. The children had an awesome time, and the grownups may have enjoyed themselves a bit too!

Went last night for the first time with my son and he loved it. Price wasn’t too bad and I love the idea of using the card to keep you points and tickets on. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Only bad point was we went into pixels and the smell of drugs was really bad we had to leave!

We went on Sunday and spent nearly a couple of hours there. Nice to see the latest games there. I thought the cost was pretty reasonable, £20 top up with £5 free and the kids played on quite a few games. The main VR attraction was about £5 in tokens but that isn't too much considering this is the latest tech! My son loved it, my other son was too small unfortunately. If you play at the arcade at ten pin bowling you'll spend £20 in a lot less time and on older machines. Will definitely be going back soon when we visit the cinema or restaurants, luckily it's only 15 mins away from home.

Quite a few of the games were out of order and most games were too close to each other (though i fuess that cannot be helped due to such a small space) Otherwise a good experience for all ages :).

Kids really enjoyed it, a little expensive but heyho it was a treat. Drinks & food too pricey for us

Love the idea of this but seems there are lots of teething problems. Main simulator was closed due to a fault, one of the controllers didn't work on the VR game and one of the ticket machines didn't work. Will go back in a few weeks and try again as this could be such a good addition to Resorts World.
