Wedding season is in full swing and we're jam-packed with oodles of suits waiting to be collected by our grooms and their wedding parties this weekend.

Mr. Waddington sets to work on a special commission of tartan trousers for a wedding, using the customer's very own family tartan.
We can't wait to see the finished product!

Something that attracts people to the shop almost as much as the clothes is our furniture.
Renowned oak furniture maker Robert Thompson, also known as The Mouseman due to his tendency to carve a mouse into each of his pieces, custom made the fixtures at the request of Clifford Waddington, who paid him a visit whilst on holiday in North Yorkshire where Thompson was based.
So the legend goes, Thompson very haphazzardly measured up our premises then disappeared back to Yorkshire... and wasn't heard from again until the furniture arrived several weeks later in five lorries at 2am! It was duly fitted by Thompson's men who then departed Worksop at 5am ready for a full day of work back in North Yorkshire!
There are over 30 mice dotted around the shop. Next time you're in see how many you can find! 🐭

All this rain we've been having is most unbecoming of June!
Luckily we have some exquisite umbrellas from British brand (and royal Warrant holder) Fulton Umbrellas to keep you dry during this inclement weather. ☂️

Recently we were approched by a customer who needed some bespoke trousers for a wedding, made from their very own family tartan. We were of course delighted to oblige - we love a special commission!
The beautiful, bright tartan has now arrived into the shop and Mr. Waddington will soon be setting to work cutting the cloth and getting the trousers ready for their first fitting.
We look forward to sharing more of this special commission with you.

We'd like to take a moment to celebrate Dad - Trevor Waddington, a Commonwealth Gold medal winning tailor who, even in his 70's continues to produce bespoke gentleman's attire right here in Worksop. -
