About Waddington Village Club
The Friendly Club is situated in the heart of the village of Waddington Lancashire
Waddington Village Club Description
Waddington Village Club began life as the village reading room. It was opened in 1926 to replace an existing reading room, which had become too small for the expanding village.
Over the years a bowling green was added to the facility followed by an extension to the original building to accommodate a snooker /games room.
The club is a member of ' The Friendly Society' it is run by a committee of volunteers, elected annually by the members it is a non-profit making organisation, run for the benefit of its members and the various village organisations using the facility. Current users include: St. Helens Church, Waddington WI, Friends of Waddington school, Waddington Football Club, Young Farmers, Coronation Garden Committee, Royal British Legion, Waddington Pool, Snooker and Bowling Teams, Clitheroe Motor Club, Clitheroe History Society.
The club function room is available to hire to both members and non-members please feel free to ask. . .
Membership is currently £10. 00 per year

Sponsored walk 2019 for the North West Air Ambulance. Circular walk. 6.5 miles (Approx). Sunday 22nd September. Registration 9-30 to 10AM in the club. Photo shoot 2PM... Pie and Peas served 2-15. Club chairman John Humphries hands over donations from club regulars to Ribble Valley Fund Raising Champion Violet Leach, during festivities at the clubs successful Food Festival. More fund raising events are planned later in the year including the popular 7 mile sponsored walk.
Loads going on at the club today and in the rest of the village. Come and join us for some fantastic food and drinks. Live music, stalls and right near the finishing line of the famous duck race.
