We had a fantastic night, a free firework display where everywhere else you have to pay, fireworks were brilliant, good atmosphere, there were queues at the bar but what do you expect at a popular event, fantastic live music

Walked up for a pint and some tea on a very hot day. I'd put my shorts on to the dismay of my wife who reckons I have chicken legs. Anyway the food was hot and tasty and the beer was cold and tasty. Staff were friendly too.

My daughter and her boyfriend came on Saturday 21st april for their 11th birthday they really enjoyed it the staff looked after them but we wasn't to far away lol really nice food as we have been before and we always enjoy it thanks again defo recommend

Love the mix grill me and my partner had earlier this evening everything was cook how we ask the food was beautiful, dessert was lovely also, would definitely recommend anyone to try here, waggon and horse is a lovely warm clean family friendly pub. Staff are also great.

Absolutely top notch food. Had Sunday roast and no complaints what so ever, staff friendly, reasonably priced. Wild recommend

hate to put this review as I don’t like to fault places but we were disappointed. wasn’t pleased with the food. Had to send the cheese pie back as it was stone cold.... waited at least 20 minutes for a fresh one. I asked for a rump steak sandwich but wasn’t asked how I liked my steak ? So I got what I was given . I did ask could I some Stilton cheese on it and it came out without it. there was only two choice of beers off the draught, the card machine didn’t print off receipts. The lady was lovely serving. She came to greet us , very kind but I feel if u greet everyone coming in and it gets busy your guna be chasing your tail so I do feel things like this spoil coming back. maybe it’s just because it’s all new management but me and my boyfriend said we wouldn’t go back so it’s a shame xx

The service is slow here and the food is just about alright.... I ordered a chicken tikka and it came out the wrong curry with a floppy popadom.



The drinks here are flat too and we had to continuously ask for the desert menu.

Also it is very over priced. Its a nice looking pub not too bad but

Went in ordered 2 starters with kids meals to come at same time 50 mins after starter main hadn't arrived asked were it was 10 mins later family on next table who arrived after us left there main as it was dry paid for what we had had and left will not be going back anytime soon

We often called in this pub for a late afternoon, early evening snack, but with the introduction of a new menu snacks are now only available until 3pm, plus there are no Jacket Potatoe options. We chose food from the main menu, and whilst it was good and well cooked it is expensive for pub food, you need to remember you are a pub and not a resteraunt

We won't be eating there again at those prices and choices, it's a pity because the bar staff are excellent and do their job well.

We had to send our order back as it wasn't even close to what was ordered,with the sauce resembling water! The staff were polite & friendly but the pub itself is looking tired,& the garden furniture etc desperately needing attention. We was also over charged for this, and bought 2 rounds of drinks and was charge different prices for the same drinks. When I asked to speak to the manager, she came out from the kitchen, apologised for the over charging of the meals as the till prices are set different to menu prices, but refused to refund the drinks because she couldn’t print a receipt for that, she did offer a free round of soft drinks, but by this time the lunch had been ruined so we left and went somewhere else for dessert. Would not recommend and will not be coming back here again.

Very poor quality food, had to send 2 meals back only to be served even worse ones the second time. Gross.

Utterly disappointing. We used to be regulars for food and drink here and confused as to what has happened. Service so slow that I nearly qualified for my pension by the time I was leaving. The chicken burger is advertised with salad but flimsy shredded lettuce with no tomato, or red onion is somewhat false advertising. Chips were nothing short of anaemic. Will not be returning in the near future. What I will say is that the waiter, when it was busy, was on his own; trying his best. Other members of staff were far too busy chatting at the bar rather than trying to help him out. It appeared to be run by amateurs. Could have been a bad day at the office - but simply not good enough when paying good money.
