This is a Confidential Talking Therapy and Listening service, using a Humanistic approach and run by a Trained and Qualified Counsellor.

Silence in the therapy room, doesn't have to be filled. It creates time and space for thought and reflection.
Only the right kind of conditions in Counselling can establish a good therapeutic relationship. It's during this relationship, that the process of change takes place.
As a therapist, I take confidentiality seriously. What you say to me, stays with me.
As a therapist, I practice Mindfulness to help focus on the moment. If you struggle with anxiety or can't wind down, then Mindfulness might be the answer..
As a Counselling Therapist, I believe it's important to listen to my client but I feel it's more important to hear my client. It's then, that a relationship can be formed.
When you work with me, you can bring your favourite room spray, a throw, music to play softly in the background or even your knitting. Anything to help you relax and feel comfortable during the session.
No client is the same and each client has their own language. It can be hard to communicate your thoughts and feelings, so I provide toys, inanimate objects and crafts in the therapy room to help with this, if the client needs it.

Final week on self-care: Planning time for yourself, is usually better than spontaneous moments. This way, you know THAT time is yours.
I'm not posting on self-care this week. After the events of the past few days, I've decided to take time out for me!
Self-care isn't a science. It's all about finding time to do the things you love and enjoy. It doesn't have to be a mass of time, it can be a hand full of minutes. Making time for you, seems to have got lost somewhere along the way. Do you practice self-care?

Talking Online: For some, online therapy is as good as being in the room. It's convenient for people who are housebound, unable to attend in person due to logistics or if anxieties prevent it. It can also be good grounding to help bring the client into the room.
