Thanks to all the people who have visited over the weekend, despite our extractor fans breaking during service on Friday evening and us not being able to serve any hot food. Engineer is due tomorrow morning to hopefully fix them.

We are currently looking for a dedicated part-time cleaner for 4-14 hours a week, normally 2 hours in a morning (can be flexible on hours).
Experience is beneficial but not essential.
We offer a rate £7.30 per hour, to start ASAP.

Why not join us tomorrow for our Sunday roast? Local Cumbrian Beef with homemade Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, mash, fresh vegetables and proper gravy! Or Roasted Pork Loin with mash, homemade roast potatoes, apple infused gravy, fresh vegetables and crispy crackling. All for a sensible £9.60... be warned though, once it's gone it's gone, get in early to avoid dissapointment.

Was in the Wainwright on Thursday night my husband had the fish and chips and said it was the best fish and chips he has had and I had the chicken supreme which was very tasty and very filling good portions friendly staff

Warm welcome from friendly staff. Nice selection of beers and great menu at reasonable prices - didn't have something to eat but the food looked fabulous. Very comfortable put and would recommend for a visit.

The roast beef Sunday lunches are delicious.

Nice space to sit in; great selection of beers - Wainwrights best for me; only had lunchtime snacks in there but can say they're really nice and reasonably priced - soup + beef or chicken ciabatta for around £6. Really helpful and pleasant staff.

Lovely pub, good selection of local beers and the food was very good, service great friendly staff who could not have been more helpful . Did not have to wait long for the food and it was delicious when it came.

Lovely pub at the top of Keswick town. Super dog friendly, lots of ales on draught and excellent food. Burgers were lovely and everything is freshly cooked. Food takes a bit longer to come out than some places but that's because it's all cooked to order......a perfect excuse to try another ale!

Lovely Atmos, freidky staff, good Ales....... the food YUM the Game pie 🥧 is fab after a long Hike, was back day after for another!! Food was surged from young guy from Wigan! Was very chatty & good customer relations 👍 a must place to visit eat n drink 🍻

Just had the most delicious Sunday lunch. Staff here very friendly and quick. The only criticism is we thought the portion of veg for two should have been for one.

Having read all the other reviews I couldn’t agree more, had the Cajun chicken burger, delicious and my wife had the chicken salad, both superb, great that it’s also dog friendly, will definitely come back here again 👍👍👍

Been to Keswick many times and this was our first visit. What an excellent pub. Good choice of beers, great food selection and was very good plus friendly staff. Will certainly go back.

Great burger. Husband loved the ale! Nice atmosphere. Would definitely return if visiting Keswick again.
