Our teams always check for underground cables or pipes to ensure that nothing is damaged in the grinding process. This stump in Hale was kind enough to have the cables above ground making Wayne and Spud having an easier job and guaranteeing noting was damaged!

The process of tree stump removal!
Most tree stumps we arrive to are cut off as close to the ground as the tree surgeon could get it on the day of the tree removal. With this stump at St Joseph’s Convent in Worsley, Salford it was left high to prevent any trip hazards.
Our process on this large poplar stump is to chainsaw the stump as close to the ground as we can’t without ruining a chainsaw chain and move the timber away from the stump to allow access for the machine.
... Remove the Spectrum Plant FSI power-tech D74 from the trailer and position it in to the stump, erect our amazing Treehog stumps grinder screens and start the grinding process.
After Wayne or 'Roz' finish the grinding they clean off the machine with the leaf blower and shovel the stump grindings into the hole created and blow off the street and surrounding area to ensure we leave the site better than we found it!
Later that same day we returned to collect the large quantity of logs with one of our vans and left the client happy to have the space ready for replanting of another tree or filling in the hedge!

Our specialist stump removal team can remove high risk stumps with ease. This Ash tree in Warrington was pushing over a wall causing a high risk of collapse so Holly Oak Tree Services where calling in to fell the tree and they called us in to grind the stump with our Bandit 2900. The machine and process causes a low amount of vibration so does not increase the risk of the wall collapsing.
With Wayne and 'Roz' at the controls they removed the stump safely and quickly with a slight delay caused by some old chain link fence which was buried in the stump and roots that got caught up in the cutter wheel.

Today we have been in Over Alderley for Dobells Professional Tree Care with the Bandit 2900.
We completed the job within a short timeframe ensuring the job was signed off for the ground workers to take over the site!

This week the stump team are in Telford for Wolverhampton Tree Service Ltd they have been battling through the snow yesterday and bitterly cold winds today!

Working with Wigan Council & Virgin Media we have been busy grinding stumps in Leigh. These stumps have high speed fiberoptic cables running alongside them. With the assistance of Virgin Media we were able to have the cables exposed so Wayne and 'Roz' could grind the stumps without causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
Returning a week later it is great to see the areas resurfaced with tarmac and looking great!

We have been looking back into the archives and found the first image which is from 2015 when we where at Aspen Colliery for Matthew Smith Aka Apex Tree Works clearing the stumps to enable a regeneration project on the historic site. The second photo is from 2019 showing how much better the site looks today and makes us happy to be a part of such a great project that will benefit future generations.

Yesterday Jack & 'Roz' where at the stunning Boden Hall in Rodeheath grinding a large stump with the Bandit 2900. While the machine grinding stumps is an impressive sight the gardens and house at Boden is a much prettier sight so il just share this early am photo! 😀

Last week we where in Salford for Salford City Council removing a stump so BT could install new fibre-optic cables.
The working space was limited and the risks of hitting existing cables was great. With the skill of Wayne and 'Roz' we had the stump and roots ground out within a couple of hours and where able to ensure BT could get the cables in and protected by ducting for the area to be resurfaced later that day.

Last week Wayne and 'Roz' where in Stockport for Myers Tree Care grinding 11x 3-4ft stumps within a green space area off the main road.
Using our Bandit 2900 we had the stumps removed with half a day!

Yesterday Jeff was out hunting stumps to climb in Tatton Park Knutsford
This week the stump team are out on their own stump hunt trying to remove as many stumps as possible before December and the oncoming Christmas season!

It was a tight squeeze for Wayne and 'Roz' to get in to this job in Hale, Altrincham but they managed it with the FSI t20b. This old conifer stump was stubborn and had survived a removal attempt once before. Using the ST20b it had little hope of surviving again!
