Our highly experienced teaching staff make lessons memorable by bringing them to life. For example, the highlight of the history curriculum is when the pupils re-enact key moments such as the Battle of Trafalgar on one of the school’s lakes or the Battle of Hastings on horseback. At the school’s Arts Festival recently, the older children performed scenes from Shakespeare on bikes and in boats, whilst younger children acted out Roald Dahl extracts from within trees, play houses and our gypsy wagon.

Our magnificent grounds are perfectly placed to give pupils the opportunity to explore childhood as they are encouraged to embrace traditional and exciting outdoor pursuits like climbing trees, playing in the magical Hobbit house or on the Curly Wurly mountain, as well as activities such as sailing, riding and beekeeping.
