Went for Christmas day meal and it was lovely. Really enjoyed it all. My family all said that it was a very lovely day and all thanks to your wonderful staff well done on a successful day! Thank you so much x

Visited today as just passing by great food, great beer excellent setting and I didn't expect to get table service in the beer garden which was really good. I will be visiting again

Really loved the meal last night and the very helpful and friendly staff. Stayed in the Premier Inn a few weeks ago and had a lovely meal then so when we needed somewhere to stop just off the M6 again this was an obvious choice.

Really excellent food pub, been staying in the hotel next door for a few weeks now and, apart from a less than perfect steak one night, i havent had a less that perfect meal in two weeks, and even expensive restaurants get a chewy steak sometimes. The Staff are really nice and friendly, and the food is just so tasty. Pie night on Wednesday nights is highly recommended.

Popped in for a relaxing lunch break yesterday and completely forgot about my handbag till this morning. The lovely staff had found it for me and put it safely aside and allowed me to collect it before opening time. Thankyou so much it was a big relief to know you guys had found it ��

Just stopped for lunch on our way up to the lakes. We found you via Just Off the Motorway and we’re so glad that we did! Excellent food, ambience and service. We would highly recommend and will be visiting again.

How anyone has rated this place any less than 5 I am amazed! Gorgeous food, brilliant service and a well poured pint (a rarity in local pubs currently)!! Food served quickly without being rushed by knowledgeable and friendly waiters. Paying £50 for 3 courses and drinks for 2 and coming out stuffed is the cherry on top! Couldn't ask for more.

Amazing vegan menu, spoiled for choice! A great place for a family lunch when the party is a mix of omnis and vegans. Good service too, recommended.

We had lunch here yesterday Jan 8th, I had chicken & thyme pie

my husband had steak & mushroom pie. Vegetables were very nice 👍🏻

And the pies were tasty.

It took quite a long time to take our order and it was 31 minutes from when we arrived until the food arrived, (that's including the time to take the order).

I went about 15 years ago & thought it dark. But when my mum & I went for lunch yesterday it was really nice. It’s changed since I last went. Log fire was really nice.....



Food was great. We had fish & chips (last time I had fish & chips was in Spain a year ago) and it was really nice though very filling.



The apple pie I’d definitely have again.



The service was good though we did have a bit of a wait for our lattes on the whole I’d recommend it...... especially in the summer when you can sit outside because it looked like it’s be lovely in the summer.

Great food the waitress was exceedingly good like a werthers original. Nothing was too much trouble I think her name was Terri. This place wouldn’t be the same without her. A real asset to the company. Well done �.

Good service, friendly staff and really nice food. Nice choice on the lunch menus, but need to be placed on the tables outside along with the other menus.

Only had drinks from the bar but the service was poor with people paying for meals while others trying to order drinks with only one till in use and no system in place to serve in order of arrival. Nice interior with good decor and good outside space with plenty of seating, price of drinks fairly high.

Lovely place, staff and food both excellent. Myself and my Husband have been twice before and always been impressed. We had 4 friends with us this time and it lived up to expectations, they were all Delighted with everything too.

We've been to the walton fox on numerous occasions as it is just down the road from us.We have had some very nice meals and love the ambience.On this occasion we both ordered the wagu burger, which we have both had before, and enjoyed!!! we were to be very disappointed as it was thick and small and obviously over cooked (very dry)! We didn't complain when it arrived as we had waited 1hr for this and was very hungry!!! My husband decided that we should have complained when it arrived but decided to speak to the manager before leaving.Lesson learnt if not happy say something straight away.

Very Poor cold pub radiators been off in bar area for 3 weeks so put a log on the fire which was nearly out Ordered my food and asked for it to be Hot Waste of time as nobody listens Good food spoilt by being served luke warm Yes should have sent it back to be blitzed in the microwave � With proper service you wouldn’t have these problems They never even bothered to clear the table So just left in disgust ���

Service really good! Food not so good .....

Ordered steak which was very chewy, onion rings cold , triple cooked chips just tasted of pure oil and my side of mushrooms� with cheese was extremely watery and tasteless. Will not be coming �
