Great site with well kept toilet/shower block and washing up area. Good size pitches and children's play area. Only down side is no power hook up for tents.

We use the bed and breakfast facility's here every time we visit Essex. The place can't be faulted with light and spacious rooms with comfy beds. They offer a family room with a double and bunk beds and a cot if needed. The staff are very welcoming and now that we have become regulars they now know how we like things and have them ready for us accordingly such as the cot made up in our room ready and having the same table for breakfast every time. The breakfast is highly recommended cooked fresh to order, nothing is too much for the staff working here.

Took our grandson here for the first time. Understand it is a family run business flat is still in its infancy so not bad in that respect. People are welcoming. Our grandson is just 18 months and he was well occupied.

Had my son's 5th birthday here on 2nd March 2017, booking was easy, I had to change the date and had one guest who was dairy intolerant and they were courteous, efficient and all the kids had a great time! Small soft play frame, dressing up, and foam blocks kept them all busy. Would definitely recommend.

It is a good environment for kids and families to have a good time. The staffing there were very good with good customer skills.

Stated here several months ago with my girlfriend. The campsite, although having a nice new toilet and shower block felt very neglected to me. The paved pitches were heavily growing through with weeds and there was a lot of rubbish on and around the site. There was only a couple of other caravans on site when we stayed there, we never saw one other person. Yet we let our dog off for all of two mins in a secluded area of the site with no one else around and got the 'warden' shouting at us rather rudely. I use the inverted commas as he has the cheek to comment about us having our dog off the lead yet everytime we walk past his caravan it STINKS of marijuana. Not something you want if you have children with you. We also tried knocking on his caravan to ask what tap was drinking water as they weren't marked. He was in yet obviously too stoned or lazy to answer. Won't be visiting here again. Shame as it's very close to home.

I so wanted to write a positive review for this place but unfortunately I can't. The playground is lovely for small children indoors and outside. The menu is very limited especially for children and at our visit today the lady at reception was so rude it left me speechless until now: I visited today with five other mothers and ten children under two years old. Fist the receptionist came over to ask wether we needed all of our 4 tiny tables because "she had other people coming!" Then I was told in uncertain terms that I was not allowed to let my daughter snack on some raisins as they were not bought on premises, even though all of us had ordered lunch and there are no healthy snacks for sale. So two stars for the little playground but otherwise not a nice experience at all.
