Went in yesterday for Mother's Day

Even a busy day like this and everyone was really helpful and food was still fresh and hot

Spent Easter in Walton on the Naze. On good Friday afternoon we popped in for a quick drink and ended up staying for a couple of hours. The landlord and landlady both welcomed us as though we were regulars. We were able to take our dog in too.

We liked the place so much that we went back on Saturday Tea time for a meal and then spent the evening there. They had a great singer on and we soon got talking to some of the regular drinkers. We felt very much like we'd been popping in for years.

Oh and the food was fantastic by the way.

Thank you so much to Joan & Ray. We will be sure to pop in again if we stay in Walton again.

My husband and I went to the Walton Tavern for a drink and the staff were really friendly and it was such a nice atmosphere. Would recommend �

Lovely place. We popped in on off chance and asked about the carvery. The young lady found as a table. Food was great. Proper roast potatoes and yorkies. Meats were cooked to perfection and only £7.95 per person. Excellent value!

Lovely lunch with my hubby and 2 children. First time eating here and the food was hot and fresh. Empty plates from both my girls and my hubby and is loved ours too. Friendly staff and pleasant surroundings, such a shame there wernt more people in here. Thank you for a lovely meal x

I would highly recommend this place. All of the staff are superb and the chef is top class. You won't find anywhere better in the area. A place is only as good as their staff and in my opinion they have found the best.

I booked a table for 16 people and the service, as ever, was superb. Not only were all members on our table served food at the same time; it was hot, fresh and served promptly. Drink orders were taken as soon as we were seated. Highly recommended.

Having accommodated a large group of 23 of us at short notice we could not fault the level of service, quality of food and cost!! Fantastic all round!! Will definitely visit again next time we're in Walton and would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you again!! :)

Had a lovely afternoon, just popped in asking if dogs are allowed. Beer was really nice obviously very clean pipes! Owners and bar staff all extremely friendly , even bringing our dog a bowl of water without us even asking and then some biscuits. If I lived around this area I would be more than happy to make this my local and play pool, darts and watch the football! Great pub and am sure food is great also.

Friendly to dogs and humans, excellent food served in reasonable time by nice people, reasonably priced. Good beer, good wine. Dererves to do well.

Food was amazing and staff extremely friendly ... Our only place we eat at for a family meal when we're on holiday here.

Fantastic Sunday carvery!! To absolutely die for, been twice so far and it's the best roast we've tasted! Cant rate it highly enough and it's great value at only £8.95 a head per adult�The Tavern is also a fantastic Sat ngt music venue and a great position right on the sea front by the pier. Joan and Ray are so welcoming as landlord & landlady, as are all the other staff, great job they all do, such lovely people. fantastic little gem of a pub well done to you all!! Defiantely return and highly recommend ���

After a lovely day at the beach we popped in the tavern for a bit of grub and was exceptionally surprised and glad that we made the right choice. Food was gorgeous, fresh home home burgers n the kids meals was great my daughter loved her sausages. Brilliant atmosphere and the staff was polite and welcoming we stayed for the footie match and will be returning next time.

Had sunday roast food was hot but vegtables was a bit over cooked,staff are very friendly and desserts are all home made and tasted amazing.Well worth the money would definitely go back again.

Had dinner here with the 5 grandkids food was good and hot and my steak was cooked just has asked the place was very clean and laid out nice think we will pop in again before we go home
