This week we have been working with a great songwriter, Alfie Southwood. We have been producing 2 of his original tracks with Dan Mizen playing drums and bass on the recordings. Here’s the trusty Ernie Ball Music Man bass and fat sounding Natal Cafe Racer used for this session.

We’ve been recording this beast today with Straightshooter. It’s cracking a 80’s Ludwig kit and It’s been a pleasure working with these guys. See you again soon for the next session.

User

A nice set of Sennheiser 421’s for tomorrow’s session with Straightshooter.

We were once young too, and we remember how expensive it was trying to get the money together to get into a studio to record with our bands. This is why we are offering a discount to all students in high schools who are in bands, duos, or solo artists during the summer holidays. We’re working on a first come first serve basis. All drums (excluding cymbals), bass amps and guitar amps can be supplied at no extra cost to help you get your tracks tracks recorded. Get in touch on here for more info, or use the details on the poster.

It’s been a pleasure to work on the latest Rock Up and Sing recordings they did at Abbey Road Studios. We should have the rest of the mixes finalised today. He’s a shot of them from our mix position in Leeds Town Hall last year.

User

After spending last week in the sunshine rigging and engineering a private live event, we are now back in the studio mixing tracks for Rock Up and Sing. We recorded the band here and the 300+ strong choir went down to Abbey Road Studios to record. We have the files back from Abbey Road and the choir sounds huge.....

A few pics from this weeks rig, for this weeks event.

Another great track from Jess And The Bandits recorded live here at Warehouse Rec Co. This track is off of their latest album Smoke and Mirrors. Thanks to Jess and the band for the music and thanks to Tom at SummitVisions for the video work. 🎵🎵👍👍

Our next live music night is on 27th July with Charley Crockett. Tickets are still available and the link is in the comments.
"A more soulful side of the traditional roots-based sound that Crockett first honed as a street performer in New Orleans." - Rolling Stone
Check out this live track below. This is really going to be a great night. A great mixture of soul, country, funk and New Orleans. ... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RT_OTlqgShw

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Tom Pattinson - DRUMMER in the past. If you need a session player who can ‘sit it down’ you should probably give this lad a call.

Went to Los Pacaminos this weekend and had a rip roaring time! Obviously the band had a lot to do with that but the venue itself is great and everyone from Chris Difford to all the folk working there made it a really enjoyable night - a proper grownup place to watch and listen to live music. I'll be keeping a close eye out for any upcoming gigs so I can visit again.

Thanks for a great night out

User

Went here for the first time to see Los Pacaminos. Paul Young was as gorgeous as ever (obvs) He and the band were brilliant! Had an amazing time, at a great venue. Why didn't I know about this place before now? Best kept secret!!

User

Travelled from Sunderland to see the brilliant Robert Vincent. What a talent! Supported by a fantastic artist James House. Great intimate venue with excellent sound. Staff and owner were helpful and engaging. We loved Pamela too.

Geoff and Lynne.

This was my first visit to The Warehouse Recording Co and I found it clean and smart, friendly and professional, relaxed and enjoyable. Thank you for a great night see Rob Reynolds and Los Pacaminos.. xx

User

So unbelievably impressed with this place. Not often that you can rave about every aspect of a music venue. Scott Matthews was fantastic, the food was delicious, the drinks selection was perfect (which is rare for establishments such as this). Had such a fantastic night! Thankyou so very much for having us, what you've done is incredible. Can't wait to return

User

Really professional studio with some excellent gear. They also know how to put a great night on with various gigs on throughout the year.

Rehearsal rooms are always spotless. I've been spoiled by using their space and won't go anywhere else now.

User

Really amazing venue. So much going on under one roof. The PA in the performance room is outstanding. Add to that great food/drinks, friendly staff and an eclectic mix of guests. Top stuff!

I took my 13 year old daughter to Warehouse Recording Co. yesterday for her birthday pressie. She recorded 2 songs with backing tracks from a company recommended by Dan and the result is amazing. She is absolutely over the moon with what she took away with her. We can't praise Dan and Lucy enough.

User

I speak from the point of view of a portrait artist as I have been fortunate enough to be invited to exhibit my portraits of rock icons there. From the very first minute I entered this most impressive venue, I felt the sense of excitement and high expectation which I believe is generated from the knowledge and passion of the great people at Warehouse Recording. Their thoughtfulness and willingness to assist is magnificent.

User

Had the best night ever watching Los Pacaminos and Paul Young record their live album at Yorkshire's best kept secret gig venue. Thank you so much! Can't wait for next gig.

User

First visit on Friday 23rd March to see one of my favourite bands, Jess and the Bandits. Great intimate venue, very welcoming staff and superb sound quality in the live room. Loved it, great gig and a great night. Would definitely travel to this venue again from my home in Beverley for great music and a great night out.

User

First time there. Great intimate place, up close at the stage. The two girls / staff on the door and front were lovely. Chatted with the girl with curls about Xander and The Peace Pirates on 18th May. Unfortunately I'm seeing King King at the Brudenell in Leeds the same night. I'm seeing Xander in August in Elland. Will keep an eye out on who is appearing at your place. We had a really great night. Cheers.

User

Brilliant studio. Dan really knows his stuff & our band our delighted with how the songs sound. Would recommend working with Dan to anybody

User

Brilliant place! Lovely staff, great atmosphere and great to be able to meet the bands

User

Brilliant look no further.!

User

Best night out in ages with The Strypes raising the roof! A real hidden gem (for now). Great venue, great vibe.

User

An Absolutely fabulous venue the sound is amazing, the food is fantastic and the people are great, everyone obviously putting in a lot of hard work and effort for the Bands that are playing and the people coming to watch.

User

We travelled from Liverpool to watch Los Pacaminos, we have seen them many times in various venues around the UK. Took the opportunity to visit this venue, and we weren't disappointed. Great sound quality and lovely small venue. I must add the courtesy and friendliness of the staff, was fantastic, from the bar staff, to the people serving the food at the barbecue outside. We had a great night. The lack of seating in the main area was the only gripe, as all the stools had reserved signs on them, it wasn't mentioned when booking that seats could be reserved, not a problem for me, but my wife would have appreciated the option to sit down during the show as we were there for 3.5 hours.

User

Great hospitality. Everybody is friendly and helpful. It's great to see acts I'm not familiar with and discover new music. Could do with more parking but that's a minor gripe and can be overcome. Very relaxed atmosphere makes for a superb evening out.
