Really lovely castle. The town is so pretty like stepping back in time.

Substantial ruins of the curtain wall and main Bailey but the keep is mostly intact. Fascinating to explore with good maps and audio guide

We went mid summer season, yes it was interesting and the kids did enjoy it. Lacking in a lot of areas like information and variety. Wouldn’t recommend for the cost.

A nice serene castle offering good views of the town. Audio guided tours available. A good walk around would take around half an hour to an hour taking lot of snaps of the place.

Just been to watch the medieval knights and they were great. Interesting historical facts, ideal for families, with a bit of knightly humour. The castle was great for our kids, who loved exploring all the rooms, up and down narrow staircases and finding different ways around the castle. Lovely setting even on a bit of a dreary August day. Walked into Warkworth for lunch, then spent a couple more hours at the castle. Good value for around £20 for the family.

Beautiful medieval castle ruins, the dog and kids ran around exploring and having fun. Only facility is a a ticket shop and toilet. I will visit again to see the hermatige as 2 year olds we're too tired. The town is pretty and nice for walking and a pub does really nice food and allows dogs. Nice day out.

This is a beautiful castle set on a hill. I was driving from York to Aberdeen and needed a break to stretch my legs. Didn't pay to go inside, but walked the perimeter.

This was our first visit with my wife and two children aged 5 and 2yrs. When you go in the shop at the site is quite small and doesn't have a lot for sale though they do offer hot drinks. On a nice day I would bring a picnic to eat on the grass or picnic tables inside the castle and enjoy viewing what's there. Or a quick walk into the town offers plenty of nice places to eat if you want something more substantial. The member of staff there on our visit was very friendly and helpful. They offer an audio tour which is quite good and recommended.

The castle is a great place to look around with plenty to see even if the castle isn't as big as somewhere like Dover. My 5yr old loved the visit and found it hugely interesting, his opinion being 'It's the best castle ever!' I found things a bit more difficult with our 2yr old as there are quite a lot of stone stairs, etc which he could easily fall down, so if you have younger children you'll need to keep an eye in them. Other than that we had a lovely time, it is a very interesting place to visit, we will be going back. There is paid parking at the site, however you get this back when you pay to get into the castle.

Great time if you enjoy castles. It's worn but beautiful with good views. Entrance price is fairly high considering the lack of facilities but the castle is worth a visit.
