Wonderful friendly staff . My two young daughters had their first lesson here and loved every minute. They caught an impressive amount of fish each during their lesson. We will be returning to practise. Thank you so much.

User

We were lucky enough to stay on the edge of Kingfisher Lake, lovely view of the lakes from our lodge and a fishing peg a few steps away. The staff were really helpful. My son caught his 1 carp so he was pretty happy, thanks guys

User

User

This is probably one of the best places to go on a holiday and fish there are 3 pig different shaped ponds with Thousands of carp and other fish they even give u lessons for just a low price and your cabin is out in the woods and if your going there for fishing u can even buy a cabin in the middle of the pond

User

Stayed in two different lodges for two seperate weeks during summer holls.

We cannot fault the fishing, accomodation and surroundings. Kingfisher lake is our favourite. it's beautiful and the fishing is fantastic for kids and experienced anglers.

Our best log cabin "fishing" holiday yet! and we have stayed in a few places in Devon and Cornwall. While fishing wild deers come up and let kids stroke them - amazing!

User

No matter where you fish on the pleasure lakes or with what bait, you will catch fish. It could be anything from a small roach, a skimmer or highbred to a large bream or carp!!

For the best results of carp, fish a 6/8mm pellet over a green ground bait, if fishing the pole fish a large lump of paste to catch carp and bream down the edge on any peg!!

If fishing the method or cage feeder either use the 2mm micro pellet or maggot, with maggot or 6/8mm hard pellet I the hook! Tight lines everyone!

User

My son and nephew had their first ever fishing lesson from Lloyd and he was amazing, very patient and knowledgable. Both boys really enjoyed it and caught 6lb carps each. Definitively value for money and worth doing. They loved it.

User

My children had there first fishing lesson today and must say it was brilliant thanks to Matt and we also caught loads of different types of fish will defiantly be returning

User

Just had a week down here only fished on horseshoe lake but had some really nice carp out of it on maggots and pellets

User

Great fishing, really well run lake, very helpful friendly staff. This trip really gave me my confidence back, what a way to start the new season. Thanks Reece

User

Couldn’t recommend Lloyd enough.

My son, aged 10, had a lesson today with him, as he had broken his arm & couldn’t do any of the skiing activities that we had planned.

Lloyd spent so much time, going above & beyond, explaining everything & offering him all the help he needed as he only had the use of one hand & knew nothing about fishing.

Could have been frustrating for some but Lloyd couldn’t have been any kinder, nothing was too much trouble for him. We’ll definitely be back. Top Guy

User

Coming down to stay for a week with the wife and dog, in late September just wondering if there are any tips for fishing the mixed lakes? best method? bait? pegs? etc?

User

Can be hard fishing but that's just how fishing is. Lovely lake, pristine fish and helpful baliff. Reece was great.helpful and was completely different to other bailiffs he was always up for having a chat and helping out not just wanting to check your tickets and being off in a hurry

User

Would be nice to put the silver fish in keep net if only for a limited time of say 5 hours. Just to see what you have and chance to weigh in. Might make more fun and people want to catch a range of fish.

User

Only visited for a few hours yesterday, the weather wasn't the best but it was a nice lake to visit, we didn't catch anything but the bailiff was excellent, offering us advice about the lake and where was good to fish, very friendly which made the visit memorable and will probably be back again soon

User

Hi all I'm coming down in July what's surface fishing like on the specimen lake?

User

It's very slow this time of year I think only four carp and three pike the specimen lake all week ?

User

ticket checked 5 times in 12 hours . people around me getting caught up on snapped lines from other anglers . pay more attention to the lake and stop pestering the people that have already been checked for tickets . not all about money . 2nd bad experience shame really as the carp are mostly good looking fish .

User

Fishing pools looked great,

came down for a weeks holiday was going to do a 24r on the speci but every time came down there was someone camped out in the best pegs the whole week and was told they'd be there for 2 wks Spoke to a few of the local anglers who offered to squeeze me in there pegs which I really appreciated but we'd made plans for the day, cheers lads

Needs a max 48hr rule to each peg in my opinion, if I'm honest that's the only thing that spoilt my holiday
