Warren James Jewellers - Northampton

Awful customer service. The ladies serving in the shop were rude and arrogant. I would never ever step inside that shop again. Other customers in the shop were complaining also!! Dreadful service. I would rather pay more money in another shop than have to endure their employees arrogant natures!!

Do Not buy from this shop I am shocked at the way they treat customers.
My first visit to the store in Northampton was not the best as it was lunchtime and only 1 person serving and somebody making a complaint about the quality of a bracelet they had purchased and they were told that they did not give refunds no matter what unless there was damaged although it did not state that on the customers receipt.

My second visit unfortunately at lunch time I picked out 2 items I wanted to purchase as Christmas presents - the sales assistant came out and took the numbers of the items and went back in the shop. I waited at the counter to be shown the items I wanted to buy when 3 sales assistants appeared and told me they would not even show me the items before I had paid for them in advance and would not even show them to me and keep the items on their side of the counter - I was told to pay for the item first by cash and then they would show me the item. I just could not believe what I was being told it was very embbarrasing and why would anyone pay for anything before they had even been able to see the product.

I left the shop as I was made to feel from the assistants that if I did'nt like it then go elsewhere. I then returned to my office and rung the branch to ask for the telephone number of their head office to make a complaint. Unbelievable I was told by the manager of the store in Kettering that all shops had a memo from head office advising that under no circumstances can the head office telephone number be given out to any customers no matter what the complaint is and that was their policy as a company.

Shops like this should not be allowed to trade in our shopping centres as customers will only find out how Warren James trade when its too late - is this the level of service we now should expect. I find it very sad when Christmas is a time of such great expense for many and yet you have shops trading like this with complete disrespect for its customers. My advice is pay a little more and have the assurance of a shop that treats its customers the right way.

I urge everyone not to allow shops like this to prosper when its the customer who is treated so poorly - their products are extremely cheap compared to other jewellers but you need to check what you are buying as most of their gold products are bonded with silver so a very cheap alternative. Don't be caught out by Warren James Jewellers this Christmas..

Always a sale...

I brought a gift from here and I had no issues. The staff were professional and helpful, even though the shop was very busy, and the earrings I brought were shown and described to me fully before purchase.

Horrible service, very ignorant staff.
