It was an early start for our crews this morning following calls at 3.29am to a well established fire at a Public House in Birdingbury.
In total five appliances were called to deal with the fire from Southam, Leamington and Rugby. A Command Support Vehicle was also mobilised from Alcester Fire Station.
Although the fire was well established, crews worked hard to stop the fire spreading to the main part of the building. Firefighters remained in attendance until around 08:30am. A crew from Gaydon Fire Station have been out again to check for any remaining hot spots.
It’s the start of Boat Fire Safety Week
Remember! A working smoke alarm and CO alarm can provide valuable early warnings about risks onboard

The latest retained recruits to join Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service were recognised at a passing out parade earlier today at Kenilworth Fire Station.
During the parade, the firefighters showcased the skills and techniques they had learnt during their comprehensive training course, which covers all aspects of firefighter training. They were then presented with certificates by Warwickshire’s Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Barnaby Briggs.
What are your plans for the long weekend?
A head of Child Safety Week on 3 June, Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service is working with local nurseries, asking children and parents to create a poem about safety to the tune of their favourite nursery rhyme The winning entry will receive a visit from the crew for their class
... So if your nursery is taking part, why don't you get creative and start your entry.

Where sprinkler systems have been installed, fire deaths, including those of firefighters, have almost been eliminated, fire injuries reduced by 80% and property damage reduced by 80%.

Busy weekend planned? If you have 5 minutes to spare, we would love to hear your views on our Integrated Risk Management Plan. Help us to shape the future of your fire and rescue service! 🚒🚒
It's been a busy 24 hours for the crew at Henley Fire Station. 🚒🚒
Congratulations to Neale Murphy, former Watch Manager for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service on his recent appointment to Mayor Of Warwick.
We are all very proud and wish you the very best of luck in your new role! 🥳🎉
Crews from Shipston, Gaydon, Henley and Leamington were called to a caravan fire on Wednesday afternoon to Pathlow Caravan site in Stratford,
Initially there were reports that someone was in the caravan, which is why numerous appliances were sent to the site. Luckily, on arrival it was confirmed that everyone was safe and accounted for. Unfortunately, the static home was well alight and crews had to work quickly to tackle the fire and stop it spreading to the other caravans ...as well as removing all cylinders to reduce the risk of an explosion.
Unfortunately the caravan could not be saved, but thanks to the quick actions of the crews, the caravan next to it was saved from potential fire damage. In any incident such as this we would always recommend that you have a working smoke alarm in place to give you the early warning that you need. If a fire does break out, then remember to get out, stay out and call 999 as quickly as possible.

We are currently recruiting on-call firefighters to join our team.
Retained firefighters are an integral part of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service. Although not based on fire stations, they usually live or work in their local community and carry a pager, so when they get the call, they are ready to respond to any emergency.
If you think that you have what it takes to be part of #TeamWarks, then don't delay. Shortlisting will take place at the end of this month.
Crews from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue and West Midlands Fire Service spent several hours last night tackling a blaze at a two story house on Tresillian Road in Exhall.
Sprinklers use less water to fight a fire than a firefighter’s hose making them good for the planet too! Read more about National Sprinkler Week here: http://ow.ly/GJ8550ul3Lx #ThinkSprinkler
Our officers will be at Rugby Town Hall until 4pm today to talk to residents about the proposals to build a new fire station in South West Rugby.
So why not come along and have a chat and have your say.
If you are unable to make it, then you can log onto https://ask.warwickshire.gov.uk/…/addit ional-fire-station-…/ to fill in the survey and give us your views.
An operating smoke detector will warn you of smoke caused by fire and relies on someone putting out the fire. But a sprinkler system will detect the fire and work to extinguish or control it. #ThinkSprinkler
Don't forget that our officers will be at Rugby Town Hall tomorrow, Thursday 23rd May from 11.30am to 4.00pm to talk to residents about the proposals to build a new fire station in South West Rugby.

Sprinklers do not ‘false alarm’ – they will only operate if there is an actual fire. And the chances of sprinklers malfunctioning are 16 million to 1! #ThinkSprinkler
A fire in a school can cause a lot of disruption. Imagine if your child's school closed due to fire damage. Sprinklers reduce the damage caused by fire and lessen the impact of an incident on the wider community #ThinkSprinkler
