The best cheesy chips, good beer and a friendly atmosphere. This is a proper pub for sure. I'll be back soon.

I’ve been drinking in the Waterloo Arms with my Dad since I was 18 and I’m still drinking down there with him now (I’m 36 now). I really enjoy the atmosphere, the staff and locals are very friendly, and they have a great selection of ales. My dad and I always share a 4 pint jug of summer lightning. It’s always been my favourite pub and always will be.

Had a fantastic night in here recently after going to see friends band playing! Great atmosphere and service was excellent considering the pub was packed out. Never had to wait to be served once

Excellent 'local', convivial crowd and a great selection of ales from Hopback and others. Scrummy Sunday lunches, amazing value at only £6.

Best real ale house in the area. Traditional pub, occasional music, and great quality roast dinners

As the real pubs get less and less .. I'm so lucky to have a real pub so close .. stripped back from all the fluffy fashionable bars .. this is how pubs should be .. good ale and a real landlord ..

User

A proper pub with proper beer. Friendly, comfortable, brilliant food, good prices and live music occasionally.
