Watermill Inn & Brewery

Walked here through the fields when staying in Bowness and loved it. For a brewery based around dogs, the visitors matched. Extremely dog and child friendly but we ended up staying for 3 or 4 rounds before we decided we should leave. We bought a gift pack of beer to take with us. Worth the walk for sure.

Fantastic menu of delicious food. Served quickly by very friendly staff. Pub is Pug friendly which was gr8. They had their bowl of water whilst we munched on our T.

Pub was packed. We went on a Thursday. Apparently one of the busiest evenings. But we did find parking & were served super fast.
Plenty of seating options both in & outside.
Would deffo return here. 👍

Lovely and cozy, great selection of beers brewed on site. Food delicious and loads of doggies to fuss. There's a non-dog section too if you prefer. Staff are very pleasant.

Called in for a drink after driving past this place for 3 years and it certainly lived up to expectations. Extremely clean, friendly welcoming staff, varied menu and the food being served to people around us looked exceptional. Will be returning soon to sample their fayre!

Wonderful dog friendly pub serving great food at sensible prices. Really enjoyed our visit to this pub. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Do not need a reservation. Just turn up and eat.

Top notch beer from the in-house brewery. Collywobbles comes highly recommended! Food also definitely worth trying. A good scenic walk from either Windermere or Staveley.

Me and my girlfriend have visited the watermill Inn for our 1 year anniversary. Firstly the location is ideal as it is near most the tourist spots by a short journey in the car such as Windermere, Kendal, and Keswick. The room is perfect for me and my partner and is cleaned everyday and the bed is made up, there is enough storage and facilities to suite most needs. The service in the bar was superb all friendly staff and very helpful with directions, all the beer and food were delicious. Overall I'd give the watermill Inn a 10/10

Great pub food with even better beer. Great place to stop on way home from a day in the lakes we will be back 😀

The food was tasty, but we had to wait 45 minutes for 2 steak pies. We dropped in for a quick dinner to break up an 8 hour drive home, and wished we hadn't. They'd also run out of several menu items which was causing problems for other customers.
