Really good for children. Lots for them to do. Adults are there to handle pushchairs and pay for the ice cream! Food is a bit expensive and not very good quality. Better to take a picnic.

Thought it was a castle only. Should have done research. What a find. Plenty to see in the castle but the surprise came by the theme park in the gardens. Great day out

A bizarre, wonderful place, particularly good for children although the Dungeons are scary! It's rich with nostalgia and just plain weirdness! Parking is fine, wheelchair access is good but there are some very steep hills. It was very wet but we had a good time, staff generally good, toboggan is worth making the trek for!

An amazing place, we can't help going back every year with all the family! Great fun, with plenty to look at. The dungeon may be a little scary for some small children, and the electronics may look a bit... in some need of repair, but it all adds to the experience, making this by far my favorite place to visit in the holidays!!!

This place is both magical and a little eccentric. With lots of classic animatronic displays, fountains and older slot machines and games. Don't forget to bring a pocket of loose change for the machines and encourage any little kids to press buttons and explore. Great for under 10's, even if some of the displays are dated, they're still fun and well maintained. Quite a lot of walking and some of the hills are a bit steep, but it's worth the walk to the top for the tobogganing and lazy river rides. Friendly staff are all helpful.

If you've got children under the age of 8 or a love of old-timey penny machines, this is definitely for you. There is just so much to see and do while you are here; we stay for almost the full 7 hours it was open and my 3yo still wanted to do more! She really loved playing with the pence machines, tackling the various mind-twist machines, turning on the mini dioramas in Gnome Land and was just tall enough o go on some of the kid rides by herself, which was equally awesome for her and us!

There is a variety of food available, but we packed a lunch and only partook in the ice cream, which was amazing. There is lots of green/eating space, so whether you bring your own food or buy it there, you'll be able to find a place to enjoy it.

Excellent day for very small/young children. Plenty to do and reasonable priced entry

At first I thought it was expensive as I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised at how much there is in this place. Great for children especially the younger ones. The castle itself is entertaining though the majority of the entertainment is the rides and activities in the grounds so at least mainly dry weather is required to truly appreciate everything. A return card can also be purchased for a nominal fee to give heavily discounted access at a later date in the same season.

Great family day out with younger children. Beware if you take older relatives as it's all in a steep hill and tiring for healthy legs. Rides and amusements are very good and we loved the castle and it's dungeons. Would recommend
