Orca Adventures will be running a childrens workshop for mini Canoe Building in our barn! Starting this Sunday 22nd July ......
Come along to the workshop and build, paint, and take away a beautiful wooden canoe (ready to float on the lake) Sociable and relaxed mini-workshops with everyone welcome. Please feel free to bring snacks and drinks along ... Children ...please bring an adult with you! £4 per child .. All welcome

What a great Camping site no matter what the weather �

We have just returned from a weekend away and loved it. Arrived on Saturday & managed to get a pitch right by the lake. Beautiful views lots of peace & tranquillity. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly, informative & helpful.

You can walk to Poole Bridge which will take you about 20min along the Lakes.

Toilet & shower facilities are great with lots of warm water & its free

I highly recommend this campsite

Looking forward to our next visit.

Went here on a whim no booking or anything arrived about 9.30pm � was greeted by a lovley sign on the wall telling us to pitch and keep noise to a min � carnt tell you how glad i was, in the morning popped to the shop told them i arrived late not a problem, great place pick your own pitch child freidly i never see them there all over the place � there is a snack van very handy and the owners daughter even came up and asked if everything was ok my only problem is i carnt stay away go everyother weekend now �

This was our first visit and definitely won’t be our last, what a location. Staff were all very friendly and facilities excellent, we would highly recommend.

This place is heaven on earth. We had the most incredible weekend and the setting, facilities and staff at Waterside House made it perfect. We stayed in a pod which was immaculately clean, very spacious and had a stunningly beautiful view.

The whole week is the best break you can have , the staff so friendly and helpful the place so peaceful , relaxing, therapeutic, views outstanding and to top it all waking up at the side of Ullswater lake at your feet”Beautiful “ thanks to the owners and staff for a lovely time 😎

The best campsite I have ever been to! Wouldn’t ever go anywhere else. Owners are amazing people, make you feel at home. Some of my best memory’s are here. ��� amazing place and campsite!

Me and my wife and family have been coming here for the last 15 years. Since all the kids have flown the nest they bring there children now. We still come here on our own or with family. Always made welcome by all the staff, and Colin & Joan. What a beautiful place it is.

Love it, been here a few times, great location, can get busy on weekends but Sunday afternoon to Friday when kids are at school .... bliss

Just back from a nice long chilled weekend only one word to describe this place is EXCELLENT from the staff to the facilities to the pitches and the views that’s why I keep coming back every year....

I used to come as a child ..just visited with my own family and and it's still as great as I remembered! Fantastic location and facilities close to every thing you need and poorly bridge . My girls loved seeing to farm animals and loved the farm dogs too � will be back again best place ever !! With spectacular views of lake..we didn't want to leave x

Have stayed here numerous times in summer over the years in a large group of my family and family friends. We usually bring boats and kayaks as you are right on the waters edge! Stunning location and toilet/shower facilities are brill. Can't wait to bring my daughter.

Have been to this campsite many times over the 15years. First with my family and now with the family and grandchildren. It has immaculate facilities which have all been updated and very modern. Staff are very hard working but never too far away to accommodate you. Friendly at all time of day or night. Back to nature waking up to the sound of cows, sheep and if course the birds singing. Views are beautiful no matter what time of year you visit. It now has electric hook ups. Close to parkfoot, poolley bridge a short walk away. Boat and canoe hire on site. Would recommend this campsite to anyone and everyone.

Amazing site in an incredible location. We stayed in one of the pods (with a toddler!) and had a fantastic time! Waking up to look out on the lake every morning, absolutely stunning. The site was very well laid out, toilets and showers really clean and modern, the staff were so lovely and friendly and there was a wooden playground right by the lake that was great for the little one. Had a really fab time and will be back again.

Amazing campsite perfect position on lake for great views from your tent while sitting back enjoying a drink . Staff were very helpful whenever we needed them . Just a short walk from pooley bridge where there are great pubs , shops and restaurants . Highly recommend this place

Absolutely the best place ever to camp especially with a young family. The facilities are amazing and the staff are brilliant. U need anything and they're there to help. Thanks again guys. Will be back again for 3rd 4th and fifth time no bother.

Absolutely fantastic campsite extremely clean the facility’s are spotless and probably the best we have used and the scenery is beautiful the site itself in regards to pitches are maintained too a very high standard and the staff all very friendly we will be back very soon thank you all

What a beautiful setting, not been before but will return, great open landscape and basically pitch where you want (non ehu) staff very friendly, site, showers, toilets are spotless and a little onsite shop and a catering van open fri-sun, 15 min walk into pooley bridge which has a couple of shops 4/5 lovely pubs and a couple of restaurants, highly recommended

This is a fantastic site for campervans and for direct access to Ullswater lake the facilities are good but the toilet block in the back field could have just been cleaned and loo roll & soap re-filled more often especially on a bank holiday!!

It would also be useful to have a small canopy shelter erected over the washing up area.

Would definitely return
