Join us in July to read and discuss The Storm Keeper's Island by Catherine Doyle. This tale follows a boy chosen to become the Keeper of the magical Arranmore Island, a person chosen once in a generation to protect the island from its enemies.
We'll spend some time discussing what we liked and didn't like about the book before doing some fun related activities.
We hope to see you there!

Quick Recap of Last Month
Last month, we discussed Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, which everybody loved almost without exception. People were most impressed by Ng's incredibly realistic characters and a gripping storyline that they couldn't put down.
The second title was We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver. Although we all admitted this book was hard to "like" in the same way due to its writing style and content, it made us all think a great deal and led us into a fascinating discussion of parenting, nature vs nurture and psychopathy, among other things! Our collective opinion of this book was also quite positive.

This is a lovely bookstore, great selection, lovely atmosphere and really helpful staff. The cafe is great, especially if you have little ones. Free babycino's and a play area, plus a small but well chosen selection of kiddie snacks. Jade who works in the cafe is absolutely fantastic. She's really friendly, brilliant (and very patient) with children and always ready with a good book recommendation. I'm always a bit disappointed if she isn't there! Thanks Jade! ✨

One of your booksellers recommended a book called Rivers of London to me, and it was an excellent recommendation, thoroughly enjoyed the book and plan to read the rest of the series now! So thank you!
