‘Cover Versions’ is an exhibition of redesigned classic book covers by 25 students on the Foundation Art and Design course at West Suffolk College. This work will be on show in our cafe from Saturday 13th April.
The show is the result of a recent project exploring the visual interpretation of myths and tales, both old and new. The work exhibited explores a variety of classic works - from Jane Austen to Dante’s Inferno, and from Stephen King to 1984. Each book was selected an...d researched individually by each artist, and revamped and redesigned in a modern way for a modern audience.
The covers are for sale as prints at £10 each. Private view is in store on Friday April 12th from 6pm - 8pm. The shop will be open for visitors to buy books as well as look at and buy some amazing art by local student artists on the night.
The show continues until Friday 10th May.
