I went in here today to kill some time before I had to catch my train because Waterstones is my favourite place where I like to treat myself from time to time! But there was a certain member of staff (didn't quite catch his name) who really made my experience worthwhile! He was attentive and friendly and greeted me as soon as he saw me. I think he could tell that I was looking for a good read but didn't quite know what to look for. He made no hesitation to pick up a book for me called 'The End of the Affair' by Graham Greene. He gave me a quick synopsis of it and even gave me his opinion that it was the best English literature he's read in a while and this recommendation and kindness really brightened up my trip! I ended up buying four books in the end! And I can't put this book down!

I popped in here yesterday to pick up some children's gifts. I had both my children with me who were thoroughly entertained by the vast variety of books, toys, colouring and other activities. As well as purchasing the presents I came in for , I also found myself engrossed in the book department having noticed two bestsellers on display. You forget how nice it is to actually look and buy in A book shop rather than how I get my never ending reads off Amazon or EBay. I happily brought three books all for me ���

First school trip to Waterstones and it was brilliant. Alisha, the manager, ran a fun, engaging workshop which elicited laughter, teamwork and creativity. Then we had a book bonanza, choosing titles for our school library. Inspirational displays - our students were in ‘literary heaven’!

Brilliant Harry Potter event in the book store,very organised and managed well done to you all.A fab idea and the catering was also amazing.. surprise of the sweet beans in the wizard hats!!
