Join us for a relaxed and fun evening talking about books at our relaunched book club. Our choice for October is The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton, which is an intriguing mix of Groundhog day and an Agatha Christie novel. This is one of our manager's favourite books of the year with loads to talk about too!
The cafe will be open for a short time at the beginning of the event so that we can all keep warm in the lead up to the winter months.
This is a free event, simply pop your name down on our list to register your interest. Events are subject to change but we will update our posts if this happens as soon as we can.

Visited the newly revamped shop today. It's so much bigger and brighter. Adore the children's area and the cafe is a brilliant addition. We had lunch and cake today and it was delicious and freshly made. Tasty coffee too.

User

Lovely feel about the place and a good variety of food/snacks and drinks.

Saw a mum curled up reading a book after having fed her baby (who was fast asleep across her lap) which was just the picture of being relaxed and happy!

Nice young girl who served me too!

User

I visited the store today with my baby and the refurb looks great. I thought I'd give the cafe a go and the food was lovely and freshly prepared. As a new mum It was so refreshing to be in a cafe that is so welcoming to breastfeeding mums. Fantastic job and will defiantly be back

User

Fabulous store, with fabulous staff! Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff make this book store special - and they have great coffee too!

User

A very friendly team. Attended the fabulous evening event with Clare Mackintosh and Karen Dionne. Very informative, relaxed conversation with two talented authors genuinely pleased to be talking about their books. Was a delightful and insightful evening. More of the same please.

User

Friendly helpful staff. Refunded a duplicate book purchase after checking that the next one in the series wasn’t available in paperback yet. Love the atmosphere in the coffee shop. Books and coffee a great combination.

User

First visit to this coffee shop. Looks amazing and prices are very reasonable. I did feel the flat white I had came in a very small cup. Lovely seating area. I personally don't like the low chairs and tables. Cakes looked very tempting.. Will return. Sadly on this visit toilets not working so had to do a quick dash to the public loos..

User

Enjoyed taking my time meandering amongst the displays whilst listening to a lovely member of staff helping a customer with her requests so I had high hopes when I finally made my choice of three books and took them and my book voucher to the counter sadly I was met with disinterest from the (different) member of staff who served me even when I asked if the paper bookmarks on the counter were free as one of them depicted the novel I am currently reading she barely responded......a bit disappointing to be fair

User

On this occasion less great than normal. It was crowded. Okay fine. But staff really slow at serving. Queued for ages. Grabbed end of large table thankfully. I will return but lunch time s best avoided I have decided
