As the only bookshop in town it's priceless for that alone. Since the changes in Waterstones stock just doesn't include best sellers but a variety of titles. As a poetry lover the branch is brave in putting in a few orginal titles. The staff are always friendly and knowlegable. The revamped cafe is excllent and a cultural oasis in Maidstone. Long may Waterstones Maidstone continue.

Lovely peaceful place to have a coffee, away from the usual hustle and bustle of life.

A third visit to the Waterstones coffee shop - & sadly not the best experience we have had there so far . Appreciate it was lunch time and it was very busy, but our hot chocolates were not hot! To be fair we did not do anything about it, & this is the first time we have been slightly disappointed. However we will go back as we think it’s improved the atmosphere no longer being franchise, and definitely has something better to offer as Waterstones.
