We have a huge treat in store for YA fans for September's Teen & YA bookclub in Waterstones New George Street as we're joined by Laura Wood on Wednesday 26th September at 6pm to sign and discuss the absolutely beautiful A Sky Painted Gold, a gorgeously dreamy coming-of-age romance set against a stunning Gatsby-esque backdrop in Cornwall. PLUS we'll be setting up a mocktail making station for everyone to test out their skills!

We came yesterday for a book signing, the event was very well organised and went very well. The waiting time wasn't too long and we were not rushed when meeting Tom Fletcher. We got lots of photos and he took time to talk to my 8 month old grandson. Thank you Water stones.

User

User

Its full of books and they let you look what's not to like

I must say that Waterstones Drake Circus is guilty after taking a lot of my cash. You go through the doors and you know very well that you're going to be buying a book or more. They have or can easily get almost any book you could want. One thing missing is an academic book section like the ones in London, Oxford and Cambridge.

The staff are excellent and very helpful. I would highly recommend it..

I am an author and last October I launched my war time thriller, The Reich Device in the Drake Circus store. The staff were very welcoming and supportive. This is a bookshop run by people who really care about books, the people who write them, the public, and the future of the written word in our culture. First class customer service and care.

Waterstones is also participating in the Plymouth Literature Festival which is fantastic!.

I am giving a historical talk and slide show about the inspiration for my historical thriller, The Reich Device on Wednesday 2 November - 7:30pm-9:00pm at the Plymouth Athenaeum.

"The Reich Device: Facts, Fiction and the History of Secret Weapons Technology in 1930s Germany."

My book is available in Waterstones throughout PlYMLIT16. There are some cracking thrillers in the bookshop, take a look!

Professor Richard Handy takes us on a journey through history to reveal the facts about secret weapons in the early 1930s and the rise of the Nazi state – the dangerous technologies, the industrial espionage, stolen secrets and the global financing of super weapons that inspired his rollicking spy thriller.

User

Great selection of books, friendly, helpful staff and a Costa franchise so I can sup while I start my new book. Fantastic!

User

Always love coming in here. We found the travel book we wanted from the great selection on offer. Browsed around and then had a coffee in Costa.
