A microscopic demonstration on how incredible our immune system is.
... This process is called phagocytosis. Neutrophils are the most abundant white blood cell and are part of the body's defence system.
To ensure we have a good immune system we should eat good quality proteins as the body needs these to build new white blood cells, along with vitamin B12, folate and vitamin C.
So a varied diet should include fortified cereals, salmon, eggs, dairy, beef and chicken which will ensure an adequate supply of B12 and for folate and vitamin C, dark leafy greens, beans and pulses, berries, peppers, citrus fruit and Brussel sprouts !
I've always thought mindful eating could include working out the balance of nutrients during your meal prep and just realising them, and what they are doing for your body, while you're eating them 😁! (See above picture 😆)
