This place is deadly. Best pints of Guinness. Go for a pint after a full day of shiteseeing. Didn't eat here but looks good.

If you have to choose one bar in London, this is it. Waxy’s has a great cozy atmosphere mixed with the lively Irish pub vibe. Total knock out!

User

Great pub was there at a not so busy time so don’t what it is like at a busy time, but great value for the pot of roast potatoes and gravy

User

Great bar, polite bar staff, nice relaxed atmosphere and top notch Caffreys!

User

Great atmosphere, amazing range of whisky and the food!!! WOW! You have got to try the Irish stew, AMAZING!

User

Friendly quirky pub in london, good atmosphere , plenty of little corners to lose yourself in. Great selection of drinks, will visit again.

User

Fish and chips, the tree, the whole place, Irish coffee and the very friendly girl, Rebecca...a wonderful experience. Wish we lived across the pond, but we're in California and the best Irish pub over here is in Las Vegas. The bartender at RiRa told us about Waxy's and we are so glad he did! Now, if my husband could have bought "the shirt"...they didn't have his size. :-(

Been twice now each time our bar men have been real cool .. though have to say my favourite is Ben, inkage on lower left arm. Service on the whole outstanding for a really busy bar. Security are pleasant. Great food. Love the theme/decor truely amazing inside.

Amazing pub in the hart of London. Great variety of drinks, nice live music, descent food. I came here 12 years ago, still a great place to hang out!!

User

A must visit when in london, unassuming from the outside but once inside it changes to various different bars on different levels with lots of nooks and crannies, booths and artefacts, even the toilets are worth a visit

User

Popped in yesterday for a quick pint on the way to the theatre wish we could have stayed longer, great craic good Guinness

Great pub, shame about the food. Visited here with friends on Saturday, decided to have lunch here. Big mistake...I still can't understand how a fish finger sandwich can be ruined so easily. 1st sandwich came and the fish fingers were still frozen! 2nd attempt and the fish fingers were cold! 3rd time the waitress came and put my money back on my table in defeat that the kitchen couldn't get a fish finger sandwich right! The chips had also been cooked more than twice, very hard.

Thankfully, I spoke to the supervisor who was able to get me my order, sadly it arrived after my friends had all eaten their lunch and thankfully it was free of charge!! Would I visit again? Yes...Would I eat here? NO!!!

User

Great helpful staff... unfortunately food was a little slow coming, but the staff were polite and helpful! and the environment was lovely.

Visited on our first night in London at around ten thirty pm. Doorman asked myself and my friend if it was just the two of us and made us promise that we weren't expecting further friends to join us. Found this to be quite insulting. We went in and made our way to the main downstairs bar to be met with a young girl throwing up at our feet. We continued in and ordered our drinks. In fairness, the atmosphere was quite good and the barman who served us was very accommodating. We finished our beers and made our way on. The next night we again headed for this bar and the same doorman just stuck his two arms out and advised 'not tonight'. He was taking aback when we explained we had been there the previous night. His attitude changed to rudeness and he pointed towards the sign on the door stating "We close at eleven". I pointed out that it was 10:45 and also that the sign stated 12:00 closing on a Saturday night. This did not bode well and we were told to 'Tip On'. Will not be making a return to this place.

Unfortunately we went to the little sisters across the road and the bar man was a little angry

Didn’t like the fact that we asked him for a drink whilst he was on his phone ( see the cctv bosses ) at approximately 840

Also wasn’t happy that we required a full pint of Guineas !!!!

He had a bad attitude and we felt obliged to get the lovely doorman from waxys big sis ( he was amazing)

Such a shame the barman thought that it was okay to threaten my partner to quote !!!! Ill smash your head against the bar and knock you out !!!! All because my partner took a photo of the camera in the bar so that we could make a formal complaint about his actions

So sad as the main bar was a fantastic as always

This has been a shock as we love to visit waxys w

Went there for a friends surprise birthday party that was supposed to have a reserved area for us . We were on time and there were people sitting in the reserved area. We asked the manger the guy with the long hair 'we have reserved this area ' , he ignored that and said you can't stand here anyway it's blocking a walkway. we later said this bar isn't organised right to him ,all he said was ' don't tell me I can't organise a bar ' cursed and than walked away. So the party was scattered in different parts of the bar They hadn't the right amount of bar staff , alot of people left because they couldn't get served and it wasn't like the bar was packed. When the birthday boy arrived we were all stuck in the corner upstairs. Asked the staff again can we sit in our reserved area, they said 'ye should have been there on time ' which we were but they hadn't reserved it . First of all most of the staff didn't know where the shed area was that was reserved for us. It was a joke , I could go on how badly the place was run.
