Well Well Well. I was convinced that the apology from The Barnsley Chronicle wasn't in this week's edition. I did have a wager of a tenner with my wife saying it was not in! I've just lost a tenner because here it is !!!!! That is not me in the photo. It is some chap called Nipper, from 1939 who is celebrating a birthday. ... It's that tiny purple bit under his photo. The lady did apologise and said "I hope you will still use us in the future!" How can I? BECAUSE NOBODY WILL KNOW IT'S ME ANYWAY!!!!!

Well today I officiated a funeral service for a gentleman from Wombwell. He was a huge Elvis fan. When the idea was talked about me leading the service for him, dressed as Elvis, the family thought it was a brilliant idea. The only person who didn't know was his wife. As they arrived, "Elvis" opened the doors, much to her surprise and delight! The service went very well, we payed tribute to hi...s life of dedication to his family. The true hero that he was. God Bless you Chris! The idea was received well by all who attended saying that it was the "best service" they had been to and how professionally I had carried out the service.

Ok, so at the weekend I was so thrilled to officiate a naming ceremony for this brilliant little family. What a journey it has been for them! We honoured them, they declared their love for each other. Made promises to each other. We, who were there promised that we would be there, if they ever need us. What a night of celebration! Thank you to you all for coming and supporting "The Canning Family" Their journey continues Together.
