Went with a friend for a brunch on Saturday, lovely atmosphere, great food, staff is nice too. Saw table next to us having afternoon tea, looked absolutely delicious as well, would definitely come back again

We had ameizing breakfast. I had omlet and my husbend had full breakfast. The design is great and they have a great music. You have to entrance from flower shop. I can recommend the place for special occasions. The service is great and prices are good.

Had the Champagne Afternoon Tea. It was delicious! Staff were really friendly and were happy to bring us more tea. Choice of teas available. Really nice setting, very relaxed. Definitely will be going back.

Been supporting ACE outposts in the USA for years and the LDN offer is as good as any. Curated and considered everywhere you look, including the sensational food offered at Hoi Polloi for breaky, lunch and dinner. Well done 👍

The breakfast was great...a mug rather than a cup of coffee would have given you an extra star!

Service was a bit slow at times but overall a good experience.

Really pleasant Sunday lunch accompanied with decent live music and friendly but not overbearing staff. Definitely worth a try. Great value.

Went for Valentine's Day lunch and the place was very quiet, I think the team of waiters were bored, or they have a bizarre tag team style of bad service. The entire time we were there, we were CONSTANTLY harassed and interrupted, badgered and hurried. The moment one waiter left after asking is the same question, another appeared to ask us again. We politely asked to please be left alone for a moment but that was ignored and the bizarre 'service' stepped up, like a bad comedy! With waiters literally almost constantly bugging you us, lifting up my dining partners personal belongings to remove unused cutlery whilst she was talking to me. Rude, imposing and unprofessional! We complained to the manager and his response was condescending and sarcastic. Which goes a way to explain why his staff are so poorly trained! He's in the wrong job! Perhaps he needs his own drag show where he can fully focus on being a total bitch.

This is now Sunday 4th Nov, I sent the email below on the 25th October & nobody from Hoi Polloi has had the courtesy to answer...even after a direct request on twitter: :.........."Morning, yesterday lunchtime I treated 2 of my closest clients to your very fine restaurant for lunch. The food was excellent, but is someone kidding about the size of the portions? On reflection I should have asked for some food to accompany my food. The mains were lilliputian, the side dishes nearly non-existent, a broccoli side dish of two & a half small pieces of broccoli, who is kidding who? As for the espresso, the double was small & the single was a teaspoonful. It really is a pity... the food is great, the waitress, waiter, maître'd, etc were charming, the ambience just the right tone but the food miniscule & miserly, a very unsatisfying & ultimately a sadly disappointing lunch for all concerned"

Rude staff - sit down, order drinks for me and my friends and then told me to move because the 'table was reserved". No reservation sign and a really lame explanation. We were moved to the most depressing corner of another bar so told them to take the drinks back and we left. Real shame as my previous experience was the polar opposite.
