I love setting New Years resolutions. To me, it’s a bit of a ritual as I take the time and space to think about what I want to do and achieve for the year ahead.
I write them down in my notes on my phone and check back throughout the year to see how I’m doing.
But “A goal without a plan is just a wish” so we are going to get you planning.
... I know you have hopes, dreams and wishes for your business.
You want to see it grow, build and become the business you’ve always dreamed of. Providing for you and your family whilst allowing you to live a lifestyle you love.
But without the right plan in place, without the right story in your mind and in your heart, they will remain just that, wishes.
It’s time to take action, put those scary big dreams and wishes down on paper and actually plan to make them your reality.
It’s time to make 2020 your success story.

BLACK FRIDAY Is a week tomorrow!
One off, big sales discounts can definitely attract customers. People go crazy for a good bargain. It’s all about the FOMO!
... But is it the right thing do to for your brand? 🤔
Does it fit with your brand story? 🤔
Often if you’re providing value to your customers lives, they’d buy you anyway.
It’s a bit like a one night stand. Sales shoppers aren’t necessarily going to become a loyal customers.
They might want a relationship with you, but chances are the next brand to offer them a deal will capture that next sale if you’re not going to keep dropping your prices.
So before you follow the crowd, press pause, think is this right for me - financially can I afford to do it, does it give the right message about my products or service, does it fit with my values, does it fit with my story?
Be open to capitalising on Black Friday in another way...
Offer additional value rather than reducing price, using a competition giveaway or extra gift free model, sharing more of your time or experience to help them with what they’re looking for.
It’s a question of value.
I believe that when we value ourselves and what we offer, we retain respect and a better chance of building a long term relationship with customers.

We are all humans going through stuff, wanting to feel seen, heard, recognised by those around us.
When you feel something deeply, when it hurts, when it feels wonderful, when you’re scared, you’re struggling or don’t know how you’re going to get through...these are the human emotions we all have and know deeply.
These are the foundations of building an emotional connection. These are the things that make others recognise themselves in your story.
