Another massive milestone achieved for the Weardale Railway Trust today, when the 108 2 car DMU ran into Stanhope for the 1st time since arriving at the railway. After many hours of volunteer time and effort it was great to see progress today... our thanks to everyone who has played a part
The 2 car unit now needs a through clean inside and out, we would be grateful if volunteers can make themselves known to come and help out prior to the unit entering service.

Saturday 21st September, the Yesterday Belongs to You event is occurring at Beamish. It is an bi-annual event, (hosted for the second time by Beamish) and brings together local history groups and societies from all over the north east.
The event has been going for over twenty years at various locations across Co. Durham. This year the groups will be located across the whole Beamish site.
... Come along and say hello to John & Mark promoting the Weardale Railway and the work of the Trust with an Edwardian flavour at Rowley Station.
