It’s the big day, but how do you feel about the speech you need to make at a Wedding?
Are you dreading the day looming because of it? Do you lay awake worrying about it?
If you are one the people giving a speech at the wedding, the pressure is immense as the guests are looking forward to your speech and expecting to enjoy it. Are you the Best Man? This speech probably comes with the most pressure as you are expected to be humorous! Being asked to be the Best Man is an honour yet so many people feel nervous once they have accepted, as they now know the pressure is on to produce a great speech.
Are you one of the family also having to give a speech? The groom, the father of the bride, sometimes the mother of the bride and even the bride speak at weddings today. Friends and family members can be asked to give a reading in the church or marriage ceremony as well, to give them a special role on the day. All these requests are a great honour but bring with them great pressure and responsibility and fear!

We held our wedding reception at Kingswood last October and it was perfect!

From the first time we visited the venue we knew we wanted to celebrate our special day there. Claire was just fantastic throughout. It didn't matter how many questions, suggestions or concerns I had, Claire was always available and quick to respond, helping to make the planning less stressful.



On the day, all the Kingswood staff were amazing, the venue looked beautiful, the food and service was fantastic and the day ran so smoothly. Us and our guests were so well looked after, it was everything we could possibly have wanted from our wedding day. Thank you so so much Claire and all the team for everything!

We held our wedding at Kingswood on the 11th of March and it was just perfect! we couldn't have asked for more! The first time that we visited the venue we knew that this was the perfect venue for us and spent months planning out special day. Claire was absolutely fantastic...always there to answer the many questions that we had! she went above and beyond to make sure that our day was just so special and with such a calm personality she definately helped to ease my nerves on the day!



On the day, the venue looked absolutely amazing. The food and service was impeccable. Claire, thank you so much for all your hard work. We had such an amazing time and our guests did too. In fact we are still getting emails and texts about the wedding and all the comments specify that they had such a wonderful day! So we can not thank you enough. Also the chefs were amazing! The food was fantastic so well done to them!



We would also like to say thank you to the Lodge coordinator, Shirley who managed the hotel reservations for my family. We had quite a large wedding party so thank you for making sure that we were all well accommodated. We would also like to say that the accommodation at the lodge was amazing! such a lovely place.



We would highly recommend this venue and we definitely think more people need to know about Kingswood as an excellent choice for a wedding venue!

We had our wedding there almost 2 weeks ago ! Everything was exactly how we always wanted to be ! Claire is such a involved and amazing wedding coordinator , she gave us advices every time we've needed it ! Paul the toast master was so good and made our wedding day so organised and perfect and Lance's music was absolutely magical !

We had our wedding on 16th Dec 2017 and booked 2 years before hand. In that time we had 3 different coordinators (Hannah, Claire and finally Lucy for our big day) and I have to say that all were fabulous and amazing!



Lucy made sure that EVERY little thing and detail was right and was there on hand throughout the process to answer the many questions.



I could not fault the staff at Kingswood, they were always polite, friendly and helpful.



Our wedding reception went without a hitch and that is thanks to Lucy and James for organising us all so well. James (our toastmaster) was completely amazing!!!



Lance (pianist) - wow what a talented man!!! He really did great a magical atmosphere.



The decorations (Christmas decs) were out of this world - so classy, wintery, sparkly and pretty.



Lucy listened to everything I wished for and wanted.



The food was yummy yummy yummy and the waiting staff were brilliant.



Thank you to you all for a brilliant wedding that I wished for since I was a little girl! I married my Prince Charming that day and you helped to give me my fairytale.

Thank you Claire and all the staff at Kingswood who made Lauren and Mike's wedding day perfect. Our guests have all told us that they also thought the venue was spectacular and the food was wonderful. The function room was decorated beautifully.

Our wedding on Saturday was better than we could have ever imagined! We knew as soon as we saw Kingswood Golf Club that that was the venue for us - perfect layout and scenery, and adaptable packages to suit our budget and requirements.

Since booking, Claire was amazing in helping us plan our perfect day. Nothing was too much trouble - she liaised with all our suppliers and set up the ballroom beautifully, answered all our many questions promptly and made the whole planning process less stressful than it might otherwise have been.

The staff are all wonderful and Lucy and Lauren ( a pair of stars) will co-ordinate the day just as you would want it. The kitchen staff are brilliant and the food they produce is always superb. Special thanks to the amazing kitchen staff who served up excellent food - especially 109 beautifully tender Chateaubriand! We got married on NYE 2015 and we were one of the very first to have a NYE wedding at Kingswood,All I can says is AMAZING.

Hannah and Emily were wonderful from the start to finish and we're happy to help me create my wonderful purple sparkly theme.

Anything I needed to do or ask about they were both on hand to help. And believe me my communication to them was lot and not once did they ever make me feel like I was a problem, they were always there for me and happy to oblige.



The staff at Kingswood are super efficient and absolutely amazing at their jobs and the food, well what can I say... Absolutely outstanding. Every member of my day guest enjoyed every mouthful they encountered and never had an empty glass throughout the day.

The team work so well together and I couldn't fault them one bit.

Everything about our wedding at Kingswood G&C club was absolutely perfect. The moment we saw the venue and spoke to Hannah the wedding coordinator we knew we wanted it to be our reception venue. Every aspect from viewing to booking to tasting was fun and dealt with in a relaxed and professional manner. Hannah really helped get us the reception we wanted and nothing was too much bother for her. Some venues try to push expensive extras on you but Kingswood really accommodate your budget. All our guests gave positive feedback on the food, it was simply amazing. Each dish seemed to be cooked personally for each guest which when cooking for 70 people this can be difficult to achieve. The venue itself was dressed beyond what we imagined, it really had the wow factor especially when it got dark outside. The ball room was also stunning. Claire, the chefs and the rest of team KGC did an outstanding job for my UK wedding reception. I got married in Antigua and wanted a UK venue to celebrate with friends and family afterwards. KGC understood my wants and needs that I didn't want a traditional sit down meal and wanted to bring the Caribbean home. We were given a bespoke Caribbean menu and were treated the same as if we were having our actual wedding there. Every guest at our reception commented on how amazing the food was too! Could not recommend enough. Thanks for making it a memorable day.

Claire you are truly amazing! Thank you so much for everything, siobhan and David had an amazing day. Despite the major hiccup with rooms at the lodge, you certainly made up for it. The room looked so lovely, I know Siobhan knew exactly what she wanted, but you pulled it all together. The food was plentiful and delicious. Unfortunately I didn't have room to try any of the many desserts!

You really looked after them both so well, and made us all feel that we were royalty. I wish we could do it all again! Hey We may be back as have 2 more sons!!!
