It’s that time of year where we are open on Sundays again!
Open 4.45pm - 8pm in the evenings so come down for some lovely fresh fish and chips!
Also we will be opening later in the evenings! 9pm weekdays and 9.30pm over the weekend.

What a lovely weekend we have ahead! ☀️
We are open today tomorrow and Monday as per usual, so come pop down for some fish and chips and delicious cakes!
Also we are holding a raffle for Cornwall air ambulance so if you’re in grab yourself a raffle ticket only £1 a strip, will be drawn on Monday so you’ve got to be quick!

UPDATE 4/4/19 Hey all Lester is now in Bodmin hospital and has settled down well there. Now he can focus on physio and recovery.
He is doing better each week and getting stronger as each day passes.
... We are still only having close friends and family visiting at the minute as he is still unable to talk.
He is practising with a speaking valve saying a few words so when he is able to fully talk we will ask if he would like visitors and let you know.
If you would like to visit Lester please pop into the restaurant and ask for me.

UPDATE 6/3/19
Thank you all for your kind messages and cards which we pass on to Lester as they come in, they brighten up his day. If you would like to give him a card or like to give him a message you can drop them into the shop or let myself or a staff member know.
He is still in Treliske but hoping for him to come closer to home soon. We are still only having close friends and family visiting at the moment but will keep you posted as soon as he is comfortable to have more ...visitors come.
Lester is doing well with his physio therapy and being a good patient!
Although he is still progressing, it is very small steps and there is a long way to go.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Come in and choose from our valentines menu 2 meals with 2 sides and a bottle of wine for £25.

We are open as usual, most of the snow has melted so come in for some fish and chips!

The Welcome Stranger will be open for business this lunchtime. The crew are out clearing the car park. Please be careful when parking out the back as it is still a little slippery!

The snow has hit Lanivet! Please be very careful when driving. We will keep you updated if we close earlier but we are hoping the snow will pass!

UPDATE 12/1/19
Lester has now been moved to Treliske hospital where he is still recovering. It will still be family only visiting him at this moment but we will keep you updated when he is well enough for visitors to see him.
As we said before it is going to be a long road to recover for Lester and now we just have to wait and see how much he recovers.
... As Lester can hear and see us if you like to pass a message onto him please let me know as I will be around the Restaurant most days and it is nice for him to hear your messages.

UPDATE: Tuesday 1/1/19
Lester is still in the ICU receiving fantastic care from everyone working there.
He is still very ill but everyday he is making small improvements. He has limited use of his hands and can nod his head.
... As he can hear and understand us we are telling him all of your comments wishing him a swift recovery.
Once again I thank you all for your kind words and your respect for our family’s privacy during the last few weeks.
We are fingers crossed that he stays on his slow road to recovery and will post on here when there are any updates on his condition. So if you don’t hear anything he is still ok and still recovering slowly.
As a lot of people who know Lester don’t own Facebook please could you spread this update to them so everyone knows.
