An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time receptionist working a shift pattern on a 2 week cycle. Morning shift 8am-1pm and afternoon shift 1pm-6.30pm alternating weeks Experience is not necessary as full training will be given. We are looking for someone who will provide excellent customer service and is able to work in a busy and high pressure environment. The successful candidate will be computer literate, show excellent attention to detail and offer flexibility ...to cover holidays and staff illness. We offer a good rate of pay, NHS pension scheme and generous holidays. If you are unable to get an appointment with us you should be advised to ring NHS111. We have to keep additional appointments each day for 111 to book patients into. These are the NHS rules we have to abide by so we have no lea way in this. Pharmacists can also advise in minor ailments. Try the NHS app as you can book appointments and request repeat medication. They really are doing their best but demand is rising. Having our community paramedics means you may be able to be reassured or treated at home with no need to go to hospital. The community paramedics have been with us for 6 months now and have been an amazing service to the community and in support to the Berwick practices although it is still a pilot. We are heavily in support of this service continuing but need as much evidence as we can get. Good information .

Please make sure you have had your flu jab this year. Flu is not only a nasty illness it can be a killer. Please protect yourself against it. It’s a simple flu jab and it’s free if you are 65 or over or have a medical condition that puts you at risk. Also children under school age we offer the nasal vaccine. Please get in touch with us.

There are cases of flu in the area. If you haven’t had your flu vaccine, and are eligible, please give us a ring to make an appointment.
