Leanne Pendreigh is a Duty Manager at the Wellcome Genome Campus Conference Centre and part of the Elior team (our catering and front of house partner). Over the last few months, she has dedicated a lot of time and energy to improving awareness of mental health at work, a labour of love that has attracted praise from her colleagues and across the wider Wellcome Genome Campus.
We spoke to her to find out more about her motivation and efforts.

If you've ever visited our Pompeiian Room, one of the three period rooms in Hinxton Hall, you'll know it's a breath-taking sight. The room was restored to it former glory in 1996-7 after the Wellcome Trust purchased the estate to create what was to become the Wellcome Genome Campus. But relatively little was known about its history, until architectural historian Giorgio Bowler recently completed a year-long study of the room and its artworks. Our colleagues at Wellcome Genome Campus Advanced Courses and Scientific Conferences have been celebrating their 30th anniversary this month. 30 years of organising career-changing events, many of which have been hosted at our Conference Centre. Impressive stuff!
