We've just returned from a 4 night stay. Very disappointing site. Although we'd booked a hardstanding spot for our Motorhome there were non to be found. Had to park on uneven grass which was far from ideal. Toilets & showers were disgusting. No hot water in the hand basins. Filthy showers with very poor water pressure. Kept my socks on when I finally had to use them. Maybe cheap but cheap for a reason. Will not be returning.
Could be lovely. Wonderful spot. Great for visiting Hadrian's Wall, Corbridge and hexham. There is a lack of care here and the facilities need to be cleaned sometimes... too many permanent caravans on site.
Solid, bog-standard camping site. Wide, well kept field. Good views. Clean toilets.
Places like this for pitching a tent are seldom found these days. We were delighted to find Wellhouse Farm just across the A69 just 20 mins drive and is now on our radar when looking for best weather spot West of our position.
If all you want is no Midges, Drinking water, clean toilets and pitching your tent in a nice cut grass field with a beautiful view then this place should be on your radar too.
Sited here now for 2 years.. no problems. Lovely site..so relaxing to come anytime we like.. pure bliss! Ken and family are great and help you of needed x
