1. The whole appointment system is ridiculous. You wait on the phone a lot and I guess that's normal with a very busy place, but when you finally get someone on the phone, they try to make you come to the surgery to make appointment instead.. and when you go there - SURPRISE!! They tell you you need to call them on the phone and ONLY from 8:30am until 10am.
2. I was told by a doctor that I need to make an appointment for "new patient examination" in order to make another appointment for breast examination. When I called to try and make the necessary appointment, the woman was shocked that someone from this surgery has given me this information.. because according to her, that's not how we do it.
3. I went to reception to ask for an appointment for blood tests. They told me I need to go back on a Tuesday or a Friday at 8:30am, because that's when they do blood tests. I went one Friday only to be told this is not how it's done, I need to make an appointment.. And they were ready to send me away. They did not offer to make an appointment for me, I had to insist they do that.
4. When you have your blood tests done, you have to call them to ask for the results. They are not displayed online in your medical profile, which I find ridiculous... They only told me that test were NORMAL and if there was anything worrying, they would have contacted me (as if "why do you bother me with this").. I don't want to know if they are NORMAL, I want to know my exact results!
5. Speaking of the online medical account... Pfff.. why have they bothered with this??? You cannot make general appointments, you cannot see test results in there...
6. Receptionists cannot be more misinformed and unhelpful. Only one of them actually smiles. Different receptionists give different information.. I think it is time for the management to spend some money on training and manners lessons. They have to start actually helping the patients, because that's why they are there.

Awful, just really awful. And the trouble is they can treat (or not!) the ill how ever they like because there is no where else to go too. I work, so cant just turn up and sit around for hours waiting for an appointment.
So do i carry on and wait for my infection to get worse or what?? The thing is, this infection has been coming and going for years. Antibiotics followed by more antibiotics and on it goes, time and time again. I was booked in for minor surgery at the practice, and when i turned up (having been cancelled and moved 3 times) the young lady said theres nothing wrong with it and refused to do the job!!! And now, the infection is back. I cant get an appointment or even a telephone consultation because that has stopped because someone didnt like it. I cant move to another practice because there isnt anymore in my catchment area.
Any ideas as to how I'm supposed to receive the medical attention that i need?? Perhaps i should chuck my job in, go on the sick, become an addict of some sort and sit in the surgery all day wasting doctors valuable time?!?!? If i could give a zero, i would.

Shockingly bad. Rude and never answer calls. Been waiting 2 months for test results but can't get them. Arranged doc to call twice now but even though I've had my phone on me constantly -and no missed calls showing, still claim they have tried to call. Next available 'call back' not until Sept!!! SO BAD!!! Can't think of a good thing to say about them 😡No sympathy just rudeness. Also refused to chase up my daughters diabetes prescription because the doc would sign it when he had time - probably 3 days. Just awful.

On more than one occasion, I have phoned the practice, been put on hold for ages, then just hung up on. Most of the receptionists are rude and you can never get an appointment. Whilst on hold it tells you that the easiest way to book an appointment is via the practices website, but as soon as you log in, it tells you that there are no appointments available.

I have a small child and when she's in need of medical assistance, it shouldn't be this hard to get her seen.

UPDATE: When I finally got through, the lady that I spoke to was very friendly, very lovely and very helpful. Didn't catch her name, but she's a gem :)

This sugary wants patients on their books to generate income but it is impossible to actually get an appointment. I've been trying for over a week now to get anyone t answer their phones at the time they demand that ill patients phone. Even then you have to discuss your condition with the office cleaner before you can get to a booking stage. This review requires you to pick a star rating. They deserve no star but its the only way to post this review.

I've been ringing every day for the last 2 weeks since joining to make an initial appointment. I've been put on hold for 15 minutes on every phone call before the line goes dead. I've tried ringing first thing in the morning, midday and evening time to no avail. I just need my initial appointment so I can get my repeat prescription. Are there any receptionists? Do any work there? Ive never experienced issues like this at any other surgery I've been at so I don't see why it's so difficult here. It's people's health they're dealing with and people need to see a doctor which should be easy to do. It's not like you're ringing the chippy for food where it's not of great importance as you can go somewhere else, it should be easy to contact them.

Absolutely shocking surgery. Can never get through in the Morning and if you do you get cut off after holding for longer than 5 minutes. Some of the Doctors can be rude. I rang up this morning at half 8 and asked for an appointment, to then be told a doctor will call you back. It is now nearly 1pm and I'm still waiting. You have to wait hours when you get to your appointment and the staff have no urgency about it. I went the other week with my son (who's 10 months old) and I was waiting 1 hour just to be seen to a prebooked appointment.

Shocking!

Whole place needs a shake up or taking over. Terrible service, they give you an hour to get through on the phone and that's just to request a ring back from the doctor 'you can't make an appointment ' and 9 times out of 10 you can't even get threw or phone just rings out, reception staff seem unhappy and disinterested, and short with you

User
