The best fish and chips I have tasted in a long time. Fresh flaky white hot fish in a beautiful crispy batter and crispy chips with a soft and fluffy inside. Next time you go to Matlock, forget the search for a parking space and a long queue for mediochre food, call at Wessington on your way home.

I bought Haddock & Chips on the way back from the Wee Dram Whisky Fest in Bakewell on Saturday night - Best piece of fish I've had in a long time. Crisp batter with chunky tender Haddock underneath. Chips were so -so but didn't detract from the main dish. A great find !

Been going here for fish and chips for many years and all I can say is iv never had better anywhere , used to go to the magpie at Whitby and wessington chippy is far superior
