West Green House could be the inspiration for a Jane Austen novel. It is an English manor house garden with a twist, rescued from neglect by lessee Marylyn Abbott. The garden combines neo-classical style with flamboyant contemporary design. Its hallmark is its lavish planting and use of vibrant colour combinations, whilst retaining its historic mood.

In summer this beautiful garden becomes the backdrop for a season of English Country House Opera held in the "green theatre" and musical events around the lake or in the spacious decorated greenhouses.

Now opened our new tearoom is decorated with fascinating garden memorabilia to create a garden room thatr reflects our country mood. The Courtyard is ideal for a quiet coffee with friends or for a business lunch in the serenity and calm of the garden.
