We've got some amazing entertainment lined up for Feast this month. It's gonna be a be a beautiful day, so please come down and support our acts on St Luke's steps and at the Family Zone by the Leisure Centre.
We've got Dan Maitland, an extremely accomplished singer/songwriter, Orquesta Estelar, full of latin energy, and the Zero Carbon Band - really positive hippy punk vibes 😀
Renegade Choir sing really uplifting pieces, and The 49ers play classic New Wave and pop songs, do...n't miss them!

The Family Zone has 'Jammin' on Toast', a fabulous pre-teen band playing upbeat original and pop/rock covers and also the Crown Lane Primary school choir, from 11.45am - 13.00pm.

The Foodbank have been awarded a grant and are hiring!
South London Warehouse Coordinator (part-time)
Location: St Margaret’s Church, Streatham Hill, SW2 3BH
... Contract: Fixed term for 1 year This is an initial contract for 1 year but is expected to continue for a further 2 years minimum
Hours: 22.5 hours per week This would be flexible on weekdays but some Saturday working would be required.
Salary: £25,950 p.a. pro-rata
Norwood and Brixton Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust network of Foodbanks providing emergency food to support those in crisis.
Norwood and Brixton Foodbank are collaborating with other South London Foodbanks to create a joint warehousing space. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individual who will be able to co-ordinate this exciting new project. You will be overseeing management and rotation of food stocks as well as co-ordinating teams of regular and one-off volunteers.
Norwood and Brixton Foodbank is a charity founded on Christian principles. Not every member of the team is a Christian but we all subscribe to the same values and hope that the new team member will too. Please note – this role is based in a church space, which people can access for prayer throughout the day.
About you
• You will have excellent organisational skills especially when working under pressure to cope with multiple demands and deadlines, whilst ensuring high standards are consistently met. • You will be able to organise the day-to-day running of a warehouse, including stock management and an ability to carry out manual work. • You will be passionate about the work of foodbanks, demonstrating empathy and the ability to work with people from disadvantaged, marginalised, or socially excluded backgrounds. • A self-starter, you will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. • You will be experienced and confident working with volunteers and engaging with the public.
