Westcliff High School For Boys

Westcliff High School for Boys is a selective academy grammar school for boys aged 11 to 18 in Westcliff-on-Sea, near Southend-on-Sea, Essex and surrounding areas. In September 2001 the school was awarded "Beacon" status for its breadth of achievements and quality of work. The school was classed as a "Humanities College" in early 2007 and received a further specialism in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) on 1 April 2009. The school converted to academy status in 2010. As of late, a new sixth form building was builded in a refurbishment task. Also, the science building has undergone a complete refurbishment, completed in 2017. The laboratories were renewed along with an updated external façade. With the school's high A* student rate, it is considered one of the best schools in the county
