quite often pop up for lunch my granddaughters love it up here ,lovely food very nice place to sit and relax
Would like to say a huge thank you to the gentleman who served me at the butchers yesterday. I have given up using plastic and had been struggling to find meat and cheese unwrapped. He was absolutely amazing at getting me a huge chunk of cheddar cheese and putting it in my beeswax coated cloth :) Thank you! Will be visiting again for meat and cheese!
Westlands sell the best meat and local produce and now with the tea room it's even better!! Lovely menu of brekky, lunches etc and fab cake, really nice atmosphere and views across the fields. The staff are always fantastic :) I think our 'shopping' is going to rapidly turn into shopping + brunch! Keep up the great work the place looks fab :)
Went for lunch with friends on Saturday, then walked round shop, very friendly butcher ended up by lamb shanks. Had them today, they were really tasty
We came across this place by accident and stopped to investigate. Had delicious cakes & coffee in the cafe on a lovely sunny day whist watching the sheep amble around the field. It wasn't too busy being mid week and service was fine. Impressed by the quality on offer in the farm shop and although we didn't buy any meat on this occasion will certainly return to do so. We did leave with eggs & potatoes & enjoyed lovely eggs for breakfast this morning.
Visited Westlands for the first time on Saturday and we were very impressed! We bought some steaks and the very knowledgable gentleman who served us told me how to cook them to get the best results - they were fantastic! Thank you - we will be back!
Thank you for your time with messages and phone calls back and forth to sort this for me short notice at your busiest time of year - my grandad is over the moon with his Westlands meat hamper birthday present. So glad I got it from you instead of sending off for the thing he kept seeing in the paper ;)
Much appreciated and highly recommended!
I have also included a home made hamper refill voucher for him so we will no doubt be back soon for that :)
Love the tea room. Hot Chocolate and Latte are the best!!! The butcher's are lovely guys and always very helpful.
I came here yesterday to buy lamb and chicken and some other bits. We had the lamb shanks last night and I can say 100% they were the best tasting I've ever had. I will be buying from here in the future. Not the supermarket!
Had the breakfast it was really good oh and the sausages were superb, the only thing that I felt let it down was the toast I'd rather of had 1 thick slice of fresh bread than two of the thin shop bought stuff, but that's just my preference
Had a lovely morning here, seeing the calf's with there mummies, then a stroll down to see the lambs and the ewes although they looked very anxious it was beautiful to see the lambs being born felt really honour to see this. One thing my partner and I can't get our heads round people complaining about the price we think it was reasonable as it is something some people and children don't see living in towns and cities.. Unfortunately the cafe was closed when we went in they were getting ready for lunch it would of been nice if they kept it open a lot of lost trade by doing that.. Lovely meat counter and fresh and baked produces very helpful and friendly staff
Came to this lovely farm shop this morning, have never been before. The butcher was lovely very friendly and bubbly and went out of his way to ensure I was happy and helped me find what I was looking for. Will def be back the bacon is lovely have more in my fridge to try
Breakfast buffet superb, and a great idea. Staff in tearoom and shop always very friendly and helpful - and top class produce. A bit of a hidden gem - I'm always surprised about how many people locally DON'T know about you.
Best £4 we ever spent!!! We have always wanted to hold a baby lamb and at 27 I finally got too.
The lady we spoke too (the one who handed us the lamb) was lovely and really helpful.
Thank you for making me and my best friend very happy (I wish you didn't have to eat them 😭) xxxx
Always enjoy the visit here for coffee and breakfast.
Bonus is buying good meat from the farm shop after.
We loved seeing the animals and having kids faces painted but did not like what we bought in the shop a packet of rainbow cookies to discover a maggot Crawling out of one of the biscuits for which my daughter came very close to eating
It is a lovely little farm, the farm shop is lovely.
it was very busy and we didn't get into the cafe or face painting.
I do think if events were over a few days it might not be so busy, the sheep and lambs seem to get a little anxious at times.
So I understand them taking 30mins break but as there's not much to do and so busy in the cafe and shop you are kind of just waiting around.
Had a very good snack lunch today, then bought rib of beef from butchers. Staff very friendly will certainly visit again when in the area.
The sheep shearers were very rough with the sheep, shearing them with a fag hanging out of his gob! Most of the poor sheep were nicked with the shearer and had blood on them afterwards, the hog roast gave us the shits afterwards + the food servers should have worn gloves, other than that the kids enjoyed the open fields!!!
