A huge thanks to everyone who took part in the Wedmore 40:30 charity cycle ride yesterday and to the event sponsors Touts Budgens. We are really grateful for the support shown by the organisers and hope you all had a great ride! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

We're looking forward to building new friendships with the team at Balfour Beatty who are working on the Hinkley Point C construction project - and who have pledged a year of support to Weston Hospicecare.

A full 24 hours in the saddle is a challenging and physically tough feat, so give them a wave and make a donation if you spot the group.
They will set off an noon today, and are inviting other cyclists to join them for part of the day in return for a donation.

Best of luck to intrepid cycling duo Steve Cremer and Jon Bass who will tomorrow aim to complete an incredible 200-mile ride in just a single day.
The pair will hope to get from Weston Hospicecare HQ in Uphill to Land's End to raise money for the hospice.

There is now just over 24 hours remaining for anyone who wants to sign up to the Wedmore 40:30 cycling event this Sunday.
The event is in its second year and offers a range of distances, ranging from 70 miles for serious cyclists to a 12-mile route ideal for families looking for a Father's Day activity.
